Atopica side affect
 
My girl is 11-12 days on Atopica,she sleeps a lot and is not interested going or staying outside,when I try to play with her she plays for few minutes and crush down.She doesn't have much energy as before 😭.Is this normal side affect?she eats and poops Ok.

Here is a list of possible side effects from Atopica (from the prescribing information). Lethargy is one of them. I'd ask the vet, just to be sure. If it's mild, maybe it will be okay.

Although some of the side effects sound horrible, keep in mind that they are only observed in a small percentage of dogs. Lethargy (lack of energy and enthusiasm), for instance, was only observed in 2% of the dogs in the initial study.

She weighs 1.95 kg and she takes 10 mg Atopica daily,our next vets appointment is on 09.06,he didn't mention anything about lowering her dose of Atopica in the future.I never had a dog before and to me all of this is new,I'm really attached to this little girl,every time I see something unusual I panic,for example today she drinks more water then usual(it's really hot here)and I automatically think she might have Cushings,so many things was wrong with her since she was 9 months and I simply can't relax +I'm battling with depression for 14 years and small thing set me back😢

She's getting the correct dosage for her weight. I would call the vet and report the lethargy and see what they say. If it's not debilitating, maybe your dog will be able to stay on the Atopica. Also, sometimes side effects disappear spontaneously.

After 30 days, I would report your dog's progress to the vet. If her symptoms have improved, the vet might consider reducing the dosage or going to an every-other-day or twice a week dosage. That might help with side effects.
