Anti-vaccinosis Does anybody have any good results from Adored Beast anti-vaccinosis? I have bought it but am afraid to give it to my 3 pound Yorkie. My little Izzie got the kennel cough after getting the oral bordetella vacination (9 days later). She was very sick- had to get 2 different kinds of antibiotics. They gave the vaccination the same day they spayed her. Told me she needed it but she didn't stay all night there. She got over the kennel cough but now when she first get up she coughs (a different cough). It seems like she is trying to push something out of her nose. I took a video and the vet seemed to think it was collapsed trachea. She prescribed Tussigon but she took it 3 days but it didn't ease it. She has been on Benadryl with no effect. I first thought allergies but am now wondering about rhinitis. I firmly believe this all started with the bordetella vaccine but I don't want to make matters worse by giving the anti-vaccinosis. |
If a puppy, then allergies or rhinitis would be very rare to see. More likely then it'd be either still some URI and/or reverse sneezing. If an adult, then you could suspect the above + possibly allergies. Can you upload the video here, that would help. |
Anti-vaccinosis Here are 2. I am so worried. |
Apparently I didn't get the videos attached properly, will try again |
Anti-vaccinosis I could not figure out how to attach videos. It said I didn't have security token. |

I watched your videos. I don't have any experience with collapsed trachea, but our Bella has reverse sneezing, and it sounds a little like what I saw in the video. Bella does it sometimes when she is excited. Does Izzy cough only when she gets up in the morning, or is it more frequent? I hope your vet is able to come up with the correct diagnosis. If you are in doubt, you might want to get a second opinion from another vet. |
Anti-vaccinoses She mostly does it in the morning when she first gets up or within approximately 30 minutes. She runs and plays and doesn't do it then. I would think if collapsed trachea she would do it during exercising. I have an appointment tomorrow morning with one of the vets at the company I have been taking her to. If I don't get a definite diagnosis tomorrow I will be taking her to U.T. I have been devastated regarding possible collapsed trachea but if it is that I need to know it. Keep my little Izzie in your prayers. |

In the first video - it *sort of* sounds like reverse sneezing - but if it is, it's a very severe case of it. In the second video - to me, that sounds more trachea related as it's bordering on being more "honky" sounding. Both videos concern me, to be honest, and I think you're right to feel this needs to be fully evaluated so you know what you and your kiddo are facing. I'm also going to ask LadyJane to view the videos. Keep us posted and hang in there. I know it can be scary when you don't know for sure what's wrong. |
I have had a few pups with CT. I cannot promise she doesn't have it; but, those videos do not sound like CT to me! It seems more nasal in nature....and my guess is it is a reverse sneeze. What did the vet today say? |
Absolutely the vaccine can cause Rhinitis and at any age. My Wolfhound developed Chronic Rhinitis after the intranasal bordatella vaccine & he lived his whole life with it. Once the damage is done there is no going back from it & it lasts the rest of their life. It makes me ANGRY they even still use this method of vaccine AND that they don't tell the owners of this risk. |
Anti-vaccinosis I had Izzie to UT yesterday. They ran several tests, did X-rays and blood work. They don't think it is collapsed trachea but can't rule totally out at this time. The X-ray of her trachea looked good along with everything else. They sent me home with a 14 day wormer and said could possibly be lung parasites. I really don't think that could be it but will try it. If she doesn't get any better in 14 days the next step is to do a bronchoscope and wash. I still feel it was caused by the bordetella oral vaccine. I gave her the anti-vaccinosis for 2 days and am hopeful that will help. The UT doctors will probably call me today and I am going to discuss with her the side effects of the vaccine and ask them to call the company that produces it. I hope it is not something she has to live with the rest of her life. I looked up the side effects and she has all of them except lethargy. She WILL never get the bordetella vaccine again! |
