I feel terrible writing this here, but I don't know where to go and yorkietalk always helped me in the past, so please let me stay here for a while. Our baby Teddy ran away, we have been searching high and low but so far no luck Please pray that he is okay and will return home soon. Teddy boy we are waiting and praying you come back soon !!! Please please pray for his return!!!!

Ooooooh nooooo, I will most definitely be keeping Teddy in my prayers until he is back home (((hugs)))).

Prayers for little teddy's safe return. Every Yorke owner should have a light collar with a tag with your phone number on it. I just found 2 dogs and was able to return them because of the tags. Do not give up hope. With the power of prayer we all will support you.

I feel terrible, but Teddy did not have a collar on him today when he went missing. He was having some skin rash and I took it off. He's been quite lethargic lately, he is 5 y.o.already and he wasn't really going out much, so I thought there were no risk huhu I feel so terrible

Unfortunately in my country there is no such thing as micro chipping your dog, it is only done when the dog travels abroad and entering the country where microchipping is required.

How terrible,would he be able to find his way home? I have a back yard so my boy uses the yard to potty, I walk my boy for only one reason, should he ever get out of the house hopefully he will know his way home. Have you put up any posters with his picture and your phone number even a reward for returning him helps in case he is found. Have you called dog shelters in your area to see if they have him or if he was turned in to them.

gawd how terrible for you. Make sure area vet offices, local pounds have his pic and know that he is missing. Pertinent facts like date lost and from where etc.

Not sure if you are in city or country but when I lost my cat I plastered notices on telephone poles. I circled outward from our home. I continually walked neighbourhood . I just know that sick feeling in your gut.

Also maybe Facebook notice for your area

We also have a backyard for our two big dogs, but normally I wouldnt really leave teddy running there but he always sneaks around to go play with the bigger dogs. It is Lunar New Year here so I've reminding myself to be careful when so many people coming in and out of the house. But with two (human) little kids, I wasn't on top of everything.

Facebook really helped us find him last time he ran away, it was 3 tears ago. I am praying we are also lucky this time around.

Please help keep him in your prayers!! YT always helped us in the past.

I pray your little one will journey home.

I always take my dogs for walks in the neighborhood. The collies walk the whole way, but my Hokies get too tired so I carry them home. I do this so the dogs will get exercise but additionally so they are familiar with the area and can return if they should wander. It also familiarize the neighbors with my dogs just in case.

My dogs have a fenced in acre, but the walks to me are important.

Again make calls, put up posters and in our area, we have several dogs who are trained to search. They have often been successful.

My big boy slipped out one day and my next door neighbour called him home, he was happily going through the walkway to I think the park we often visit....

My Yorkie took off one day and I am running to catch up with him another neighbor other end of the street called him over and held him until I got there.

So good neighbours are just great.

I also walk him alot, he should know his way around our house. But you know how yorkies can be, so joyful and then they forget their way back home.

I'm praying for Teddy to find his way back to you. Maybe put something in your yard with smells he is used to. Talk to the neighbors. Ask all the kids in the neighborhood if they have seen him. Look in backyards near your home. Put up posters everywhere, including vet's offices. Check your local animal control by going in person. Just some thoughts.

Thank you for all your prayers!!!! The YT magic always worked for me!!! Teddy is back safe and sound!! Some people down the road picked him up, saw the posters and called us.

Please, Please, Please be more care in the future, 2 times lost, 2 times found, PLEASE you man not be so lucky if it happens again. When you will have much company next time, put harness and leash on Teddy, this way if he runs out at least he will be trailing his leash behind him, making it easier to get him. And ALWAYS keep collar with your phone # it on him, I know you aid he had a skin rash, reason his collar was not on him. HAPPY, HAPPY HAPPY for you (((HUGS)))

Thank you, I will do, I promise!!! Teddy is quite a runner, because he is always running around with our bigger dogs. We normally have a tag with contact details on him, which helped bring him home once (we didnt even notice he was absent). I am so happy to live in a wonderful and safe neighborhood and community.

Agreed you are lucky to live among honest people. I PRAY my boy never gets out, he is an adventurist, he would love to be out on his own to explore, he is so cute and friendly I fear even with his tags, my address and phone #, also micro chipped anyone that found him would not return him, I also live in a heavily wooded area and that's where he would love to explore, he would be lost forever or eaten my coyotes. I watch him like a hawk. I am just soooo happy you have your boy back.

I know the feeling, something similar happened to my friend's yorkie, they managed to find the dog pretty quickly with all the details but it took them a while to get him back because they kept fighting back and forth about the reward. They ended up giving them quite a lot of money. I am always careful about rewarding, since I am scared people might want to snatch him up just for the reward. But yes my neighborhood is awesome, they refuse money and just asked us to be careful next time.
Last time Teddy ran away it also took me 5 days to find and 2 days to get him because the family who found him had an 18 year old daughter who just liked Teddy so much she didnt want to give him back. We kept texting back and forth for 2 days before her dad stepped in and made her give him back. That feeling when you know they have him, but wouldnt let you have him. Urgh. It was killing me. She is 18, for gods sake, not 8?!
