CherubRock | 05-20-2016 08:36 PM | Sorry for not updating.. So Dave came home monday afternoon..His blood tests were all good.. No liver shunt.. The neurologist said he's not epileptic and he may not have had a seizure; that the other doctors description of what she told us was a grand mal seizure, actually was probably just him being hyper and spazzing out... I was relieved but also really upset about this.. The kicker was when I checked him out of the hospital, he was still arching his back.. The reason I took him there in the first place. I took him to his regular vet later Monday afternoon. And she was baffled by the back arching and rubbing.. She did put a numbing agent on his butt (because he had really bad diaper rash from the diarrhea).. By Tuesday morning Dave was 100% back to normal. So i'm thinking the damn Cesars dog food was culprit.. DO NOT GIVE YOUR DOG CESARS.. Thanks to Cesars poor little Dave had a $3000 2night hospital stay, and was given heavy duty medication(the seizure meds, and they also gave him a morphine like opiate for pain saturday night). |
