| drinking water i have a 9.5 week old yorkie and she (zoey) is 2.2 pounds and does want to drink water.i can soak wet food in water and she gets water that way,but she has diarrhea this way.is this normal??? i have lost so much sleep over zoey trying to potty train and take care of her not drinking.when i got her i was given hard food and told to wet it down.she did ok for a day or so with that but poop was really really firm.is this normally??? thanks for all your help |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | If she has ongoing diarrhea, then this VERY young puppy needs to see a vet *immediately*! Young puppies can actually die from diarrhea. No, water does not cause diarrhea...it's not normal.

| Agreed. A trip to the vet to find the cause of the diarrhea is in order. The drinking thing I would worry less about. The pup knows when it is thirsty.
