Yep ,I think so and mine loves to sunbathe....we may have to change to indoor tanning this summer:D

My introduction to wolf spiders was when I stomped on one in my hallway and all the babies scattered. I was stomping all over and freaking out. I had never seen anything like it. I got online and googled something like: killed spider and all these things were scattering all over.... Don't remember the exact wording but found a video of a wolf spider with the babies on its back. The stuff nightmares are made of. :(

Oh, I didn't think you were being negative. I am quite sure large dogs get bitten as well. We are on a yorkie forum and only seeing it happen to yorkies.
LOL about the smell. Who knows..... BUT I do hope they don't think mine smells good. :eek::eek::eek:

I was in my garage once and I reached behind a storage cabinet to get a 6 foot rod used to stake my tomatoe plants....I felt something soft, kind of furry....brought my hand out and sitting on my nail on my finger, was a wold spider....I was absolutely transfixed in horror....motionless....I have a terror of spiders from a traumatic encounter with a tarantula when I was just 3 years old, up on Lake Texoma....I was standing there absolutely transfixed in terror, and from the wall right by my hand with that spider sitting on my finger where he was viciously staring me down, a green lizard jumped onto my hand and snatched that spider up with one vicious bite!!!! God sent a lizard to save me!!! From that day to this, little lizards have a special protected place here on this property....I have little houses for them....I make sure they have little lids to drink water from.....they are from that day to this, off limits to the dogs!

I am so happy that your baby is doing so very well! It absolutely disguists me that some wretched, vicious, ugly, nasty, no good spider,attacked your baby.....I have the name of some really great poison that wont hurt the pups but kills spiders, etc......

That bite looks pretty darn good now. So happy that lil Phoebe is on the mend.

Been a good day . She's been itching some because of
the dry scaly skin but doing good and now she's in her happy

I would have died of a heart attack right then and there! Lol! I hate spiders but I will kill them however I have a horrible phobia of lizards, little green tree frogs and snakes. We were at a plant nursery this summer riding to the back of the property on a 4 seater John Deere gator thing, I think it's called a mule or something like that. I was sitting in the back seat and a lizard crawled up my back and rested on my shoulder :eek: I started screaming and scrambling, jumping off the mule thing, & getting ready to shed my shirt in front of God and everybody when my husband finally got him off...they all got a good laugh, but I didn't think it was too funny at the time :D My hat is off to you tending to the lizards..I am a wuss! ;)


To the OP so glad your baby is up and on the mend! I know that was a scary experience, and no doubt your baby is happy it's coming to an end!

Oh Lordy , I would have lost my mind. I bet it scared you to death and glad nothing happened! Have only seen these bad boys in a pet store and still keep my distance lol! We have small lizards here and my grandson is always trying to play with them. But this summer we had to get on him because what he thought was a lizard was actually a baby snake . Six years old and no fears :eek:

Wow that is crazy! I love lizards and leave bowls of water out for them in the summer. I'm afraid that it would attract roaches as well, but the lizards come quite often in the summer and eat up all the bugs.

I am in the minority in that I love spiders. I have 17 tarantulas.

For future reference, an abscessed area like this usually will drain better if you do warm compresses every day. A nice warm, wet cloth on the area will draw out infection.

Phoebe is doing so much better!! Her hair is starting to sprout back up lol:D I tell ya , that was a rough few days. We did do the hiney contest , Probably should have done the bandage one:eek: but couldn't get a good one from behind. Hope you enjoy your weekend:)
