Danny had his eye sewn shut
 
My Danny was attacked by a cat this past weekend. He was diagnosed with a corneal ulcer and was given ulcer drops and antibiotics. We went to his follow up appointment earlier this afternoon. The vet told me that she needs to sew Danny's eye shut for a couple of days in hopes of clearing up his eye. She also told me to keep his eye moist using contact solution. Does anyone know if there's a specific brand that I should use?

I wonder if you can use Refresh tears. My vet says it's ok to use on my Yorkies but I would try to get a hold of the vet and check first. I'm sorry about Danny, I hope his eye will be ok

I'll call the vet tomorrow morning and ask. Thank you for answering. I just want Danny to feel better and for his eye to heal.

I think what they want you to use is the Saline Solution. I know I have had to use that at one time on my one of dog's.

The Saline I used was by Bausch Lomb Advanced Eye Relief Eye Wash Eye.

You need to make sure it say's Eye Wash.
