The photos are adorable, hope the crate rest has gotten better. |
so sorry to hear about Max's injury, the pictures are cute yet sad. You are lucky you can bring Max and Sasha to work with you, it's nice to be able to keep an eye on them all day. Prayers Max heals up soon |
Just checking to see how Max is doing! |
He, unfortunately, is getting accustomed to his condition. By that I mean that the 1st 24 hours when we set him down he just stood there like a lamppost, not knowing what to do with his entire leg bandaged up. He has quickly learned to walk AND RUN on 3 legs. If I kept him in the crate 24/7 it would not be a problem but I just can't do that to him. So whenever we are in the room, we let him out to stretch. Now we just have to keep a close eye on him so he does not aggravate the injury and allows the bones to heal. The funny part of this is I swear he and Sasha are in cahoots to get that splint off. If I take my eye off them for one second Sasha starts to chew on the splint like it was a bully stick and he holds it out for her! I keep a bed under my desk at work for them. I can hear her chewing so I will quickly peek under the desk. They both stop moving, completely frozen, looking straight at me with a "Whaaaat? We weren't doin' nuthin'!" look. These 2 are a never ending sideshow! |
Haha that description is so cute! Max looks really cute with his splint on. I hope he heals quickly. |
They sound so adorable, and so SMART! My two outsmart us all the time. Haha My husband and I just laugh at how clever they are. |
OMG! That splint is HUGE! Hope he gets to feeling better really soon. Let me tell you from recent experience that keeping them down and in low gear is almost a superhuman feat. I wish you BOTH peace and calm in the heal up! |
1 Attachment(s) Thanks to Sasha'a shenanigans I had to use gorilla tape to keep his splint in one piece. I went into the bathroom for 2 minutes and when I came out she runs away from him, trying to pretend she did nothing wrong. He is walking around with 6 inches of gauze trailing behind him like toilet paper stuck on a shoe! Never a dull moment! |

At least they are keeping each other, and you, entertained! |
3 Attachment(s) Max went to see his regular vet yesterday and the news is good. No surgery will be required, just rest and time to let his bones heal. She replaced the splint that Sasha turned into a chew toy and lowered the dosage of his painkiller. |
He's adorable😀 |
1 Attachment(s) Not sure if the break will show in this pic after conversion. It's in the right paw, the middle 2 metacarpals |
Yeah, no surgery! I'm sure he will obey the rest order by the DR. Lol |
poor little guy, heal quickly, opaws advanced mobility is great for joints |
