Mickey is sick All he wants to do today is sleep. I got him to eat a little bit but not much. He was outside playing this morning but wouldn't eat anything this morning or at noon. It is 106 here today and it is 93 in my house(RV) so maybe he is just too warm? He did drink a little water after lunch time. Any ideas what I can do for him? My vet will be open tomorrow. |

Hi There, This is just my idea but it does seem that it is way too warm for him at 93 inside and when he was outside in the heat of 106. Can't you cool the RV down to see if he feels better in the cooler air? Not real cool but maybe set the thermostat at 77 degrees. If this doesn't help then I guess seeing the vet may be a good idea. In all that heat I doubt he wants to eat. Is he drinking water? He definitely needs to have enough water in that heat. Hope he will be alright. |

Take a rectal temp and see what his core temp is....if he is overheated, you can wet him down and put a fan on him. You must keep him hydrated in the heat.....outside as well as the inside temp of 90*+......how in the world do YOU tolerate that heat???? Do YOU have a fan that you can at least move air over yourself? I am worried about YOU too!!! |

Awww - I hope he's feeling better soon and that he's just feeling too warm to want to exert himself. I know I'm like that in the heat. |

The reason it was so hot was the air conditioner had blown the circuit and it got unbearable in the 2 minutes that I had to wait for it to restart. Most of the time it is only 82 or so in here. Pretty comfortable with the fans. |

update Mickey is back to normal this a.m. eating and playing. The vet thinks it was the Pro-Plan puppy food that I switched him to a couple days before. Our little malti-poo also got sick on the food. We put them both back onto Royal Canin this morning and they seem to be much better. Thanks for all your help. |

Well, Mickey is back to not eating today. We are taking him to the vet this afternoon. He just lays around sleeping and is very clingy to me today. His poo is also very small strings of it with a dark color. of course the dark color is probably from the treats I give him to try to stimulate his appetite. Anyway I hope there is nothing seriously wrong. I love him so much and he is the perfect little puppy. |

 How is Mickey today? |

Mickey is feeling a little better. He got some special food to eat yesterday and ate some of that. Today at noon he actually seemed to be a little hungry and ate his Royal Canin. He is a wonderful eater and not in the least picky so you can understand my worry about him not eating anything. Anyway, hopefully he will now just go back to eating well and staying that way. He is also playing today so that is a good sign. Thank you so much for asking. |

I know Buster hates the heat. This weekend I went to go outside with him for a quick pee break and he barely got outside and sat down and looked at me like are you crazy Mom. He peed and then went to the door to be let back in. The heat here in CA has been like being in a convection oven this week. I hope Mickey is feeling better soon. Did you bring in a stool sample. I know when Buster had dark stringy poop he was having stomach/pancreatitis issues. Best wishes and cool breezes to you and Mickey. |

I'm glad Mickey is doing better. |

Puppy's are stressful! I'm constantly worrying about mine. Like over the top... worrying - lol. I'm so happy to hear that he's feeling a little better! :) |

He is throwing up bile this morning. I can't figure out what is going on with him. He wouldn't eat anything this morning so after he threw up and I gave him a little Pepto and then some chicken. He ate a tsp of that and that is all. |

So sorry to hear that your Dudley is having some troubles. I am no expert in any fashion but sending positive thoughts to you and Dudley. I sure hope that it can be resolved soon and that you'll have your little boy back to his usual self! |
