Wonderful news!!! Continuing to pray for Mylee and you. |
Oh YAY! Great news... still sending prayers your way! |
Yay!!!! So glad to hear this good news. Wow, two weeks! Seems longer to me and I would think it feels like a life time to you and Mylee. I can't even imagine all that you are going through, but SO glad to read of the eating and kisses:) It never ceases to amaze me what we should be grateful for each and every day. This story sure brings home a new appreciation in my own family. Thanks for the reminder that there are a lot of treasured moments that we need to take in every day.:animal36:animal36 |
That's awesome news Shelly! I'm so happy to wake up to this news. Prayers that Mylee continues to improve :hands: |
Wonderfull news indeed. Prayers are winging their way to you two! |
Praying the good news continues. |
I read your post and it made me cry--for all you have been through and such happy ones hearing Mylee is doing so much better. No matter how I'm feeling I make time for Katie to go on long walks and to play, but sometimes I skip our midnight playtime that she loves. Hopefully I can move that up a bit, but I don't think I will miss many of them again. Every moment with our babies is a treasured one. You both are in my thoughts, prayers, and heart. |
I can not imagine the stress for her and you. Hopefully now things just improve. And she is home in your arms very soon |
:) I'm so happy that she is on the mend! Hoping that she will be back home with you very soon. |
Hope to hear some good news soon! |
So wonderful to hear Mylee is doing so much better...even giving kisses! Praying she continues to improve and will be home soon! |
Oh my gosh, this sounds so similar to what happened to my little guy in June! He got so very sick with pancreatitis and was in the hospital for about 5 nights, they released him and he was just not his normal self while home. I could not get him to eat much, seemed like he was in pain and he was just not as energetic as he normally was. I took him back to the specialist and his white blood count had skyrocketed. They suspected a small pneumonia, but they weren't sure...readmitted him and started a different antibiotic and did daily ultrasounds to check for an abscess. There was no abscess. They kept him for another 3 nights. I really thought we might lose him on several different occasions. They did keep him on IV's and and a NG tube for nourishment, and he finally turned the corner. The nutritionist at Gulf Coast put him on a new prescription food (he was on a hypoallergenic food previously) - and I have taken him back on three occasions for bloodwork since. All normal now and he loves his new, lower fat diet - Royal Canin Modified Calorie Hypoallergenic Whitefish & Potatoe. Sending prayers your way for Sweet Mylee - I know how difficult it is to have one this sick. |
So glad to see a good update! Still praying! |
I keep checking back I'm so anxious to hear how Mylee is doing. |
I'm so glad Mylee is doing better! Praying that she continues to improve by leaps and bounds and she's home with you soon. |
Doc Says she's doing great. That's two days, folks! They removed her IV and she's taking her meds orally now and they increased her food ration. She even got some fresh air this morning. I think my vet has gotten attached :) and if she feels better keeping her an extra day, I'm certainly not going to argue. You guys are the best! :ghug::ghug::ghug: |

Happy dancing for Mylee and you here!!! That just made my day. Way to go, Mylee! Yahoo!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!! |
So glad to hear your baby is doing so very much better! I have been checking for updates on your girl every time I am on the computer. We too had a horrible experience with pancreatitis 3 years ago. My girl had several episodes over a few months, never fully recovered from the first bout. No symptoms, no vomiting, no diarrhea, she would just start shivering and want to be held. She ended up having surgery after a week in the doggie hospital and an ultrasound and x-ray. Her pancreas was horrible. Diagnosed with necrotizing pancreatitis. My wonderful vet just kept pumping her full of fluid and antibiotics and didn't give up on her. Thankfully, she's been good since then. No more people food or treats for her, ever. She gets 4 meals a day of the RC Hypoallergenic Potato & Whitefish. Hugs to you and your Mylee! |
More great news! Keep it up Mylee! |
Just what I wanted to hear. Great news |
So happy to read the great news! It seems to me that pancreatitis is common in Yorkies? Am I correct in this observation? Makes me a bit concerned for my little guy, Bailey. You guys always have something new for me to learn about this sweet breed... thank you! |
Great news, hope Mylee will be home very soon! |
Happy to hear Mylee is on the mend. Hope she is back home soon. |
How is Mylee doing? |
Aaah, She's doing great! I just got a text from my vet saying she's getting a bath so she can go home!! She said her WBC continues to go down, and she's getting a bit sassy about being in a kennel. So the little sweetheart is starting to show some of her true colors. Today is 1 day shy of being there 2 weeks. That just blows my mind. Any number of times they could have thrown in the towel but they stuck through it with her. I am so grateful and for all the support and prayers here too. LOL, our house is literally boring without her silly antics. |
So beyond thrilled Mylee is coming home! She will be happy to be back home with her family again! Hugs to you all! :) |
What astounding fight is in that tiny little girl as well as the determination and work by your vets to keep on working to support and help her hold on as her body fought all of her problems. It's been an unreal two weeks with so many lows. Here's hoping she's home in the next day or so and right back to her old self. It's truly inspiring how hard these tiny little Yorkies, with no insight as to what's happening to them and why they are so ill - that we know of anyway - can fight to hold onto life. |
