oh poo :lol tears :lol tears :lol tears :lol tears :lol tears :lol tears |
I am so sorry that both you and your dog had to go through this. I HOPE EVERYTHING CAME OUT OK!*! LOL I would probably think seriously about changing the food eaten. I've read about the mineral oil. I've also read that you can put a little olive oil on their food to help. I always try to remember to check our baby after she's "finished" to make sure she has a "clean area" and nothing left to see. We got a box of "puppy wipes" at PetsMart just for this purpose & it's kept out on the patio table. This is gross to talk about but we ALL love our Yorkies and know that we CAN talk about anything here! I love helping people. It's just my nature. |
Ive never had this happen to me ,but Im glad it worked out . :lol tears poor thing i hope she feels better. |
I had something like this happen to me once with my little Chloe about 3 weeks after I got her. She was here at work with me and I almost had a heart attack. It was exactly the way that you are describing. She was in the poop position for like 5 minutes before I decided that something was wrong. It was so hard to do bc I was so upset for her. I just got a wet wash cloth and pulled on it and massaged it with the wash rag until it started falling in to pieces. Then I was able to pull it all out and give her a shower. My mom didnt know how I did it bc she was gagging but all worked out well. |
It's not "gross" to clean a little puppy's behind. Remember, we have toilet paper in our bathrooms ---- and how many baby bottoms have we all washed??? Carol Jean |

I know that heat can help the pain for constipation and help relax the muscles. So I guess if this happened to me I would put her in the bathrub and wash/massage her backside with warm water. Glad to hear it worked out though! I dont know if its just me, but Id rather clean my dogs butt then a babys butt :D |
Actually i am in the process of doing both, with a 2 month old baby at home too, so that doesn't really make me feel much better! ;-) |
My little one is stuck right now!!!!!!!!! I am at work and can't get home for another hour. My boyfriend is there trying to ease it out but you know how men are! She's in the process of changing foods right now...hopefully the vet can give me some good advice when I go in tomorrow. POOR BABY!!!!! |
Boy I sure am glad that this thread isn't open to Human Poop issues. This thread is just way too entertaining. That must mean that I don't have a life |
poor baby! I'm glad she found some relief!!!! Thank god for that shower head!! And for the bathroom cleaner!!! |
It exploded ! Aaaaah thats got to be gross  |
Poop Problem How can i clean off the poop that is stuck on my yorkie's butt? I think it's stuck onto the hairs, so does that be cut them? |
Put him in the sink or shower if you have a hand held shower head, and give him a butt bath, if the poop is still stuck then you will have to cut it off. I try to cut the hair that's under the poop if there's room. After you remove all the poop, make sure you always keep the hair around his butt clear of hair to avoid this in the future. |
OHHH myyyy I just did that this morning...butt bath....and the pathetic little looks they give you.... |
lol I know the look lol. Trim that hair every couple of weeks to avoid poop getting stuck to hair. |
