She said the pup was well hydrated and drinking... she's a nurse. |

I am a nurse but I am not a vet. A vet recommended hospitalization from what I got from her post and she refused it thinking she could give better care at home. Not something I would do with a one pound puppy with such symptoms. I rely on my vets to keep my pups alive. Sure, there are some things I can manage at home; but with the posts the OP has made I can tell you there is not a chance I would be treating at home. My opinion remains the same: back to the vet for IV fluids |

I am a nurse too, but you have to know your own limitations.....different nurses have much different skill levels.... |
I agree, I think her posts are still in moderation, this thread was started before 9PM, in her other thread she took the pup back to the vet at 9:15PM, so I think the pup is at the vet's now or was since this thread was started. |

Here is the post from the other thread. http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/4407543-post13.html She said she was worse and she took her to the vet. Also said she posted about it on this thread, but on this thread she says the pup is home.... I am totally confused now. I don't think she is at the vet, or I just am not reading correctly. |
I think the new thread is still in moderation... IDK. |

I don't know. I guess we will see as the day goes on. I pray this puppy is at the vet. |
Please let this pup be at the vet i have been worried about this pup since she posted the first thread and angered by the breeder just dumping this sick pup on her |
I'm so sorry I couldn't get word to you all! Yes my posts were being moderated. Lyla has been playing, drinking, playing, eating, playing, peeing, and playing all morning! She has finally slowed down enough to take a nap. I took her outside on my lap for about 20 min for some sunshine, vitamin D and fresh air (don't panic, it's been in the 70s here in CA). She is a totally different dog. I will feel more relieved when she is keeping down solid food and having normal stools, but I'm happy she looks so well and has not had diarrhea or vomiting in the last 24 hours! |
I wrote a detailed post on her night and how I cared for her....I'm hoping it will be released and show up soon... |
If she hasnt pooped she still may have diahrea she just didnt have anything in her stomach to poop out. Did the vet check for parasites giardia and coccidia both have diahrea as a symptom |
