Thinking about and praying for little Timmy and you! Now I have to go back and take a look at the article about sweet potatoes. Who would have thought??? |
Praying the surgery goes well for Timmy and he will be home soon. |
Timmy's surgery went well! She said he has such a teeny tiny bladder. I just pray he does not have to go through this again. I had gone out to run some errands so I stopped by to see him. He was in this bear huggy thing that they use to keep them warm. Timmy loves to snuggle so that thing is right up his alley. He looked a bit out of it still, but looked good. :) I will pick him up later this afternoon! |
So glad to hear that his surgery went well! |
I am very happy to hear that Timmy's surgery went well and that he is coming home tonight! Sending gentle hugs to the little guy. |

Great news!! |
He is a bit whiney, but I think it is the anesthesia. I just took him out and he peed a nice long stream! :) Hopefully he will have a good night. |
Hope Tiny Tim continues to do well & the stones do not come back! Will you still have to do re-checks every 2 months? |

So glad the surgery went well and he could not be in better hands. Hope he slept well and had a good night. |
I am so glad to hear that he is home and I hope that he doesn't have to go through this again. Good thoughts to the both of you |
Timmy is a bit better this morning. He had a difficult night. When we went to bed, he went under my bed and would not come out. Just as I was dozing, he started crying. I laid on the floor trying to coax him out but he just stared at me (I am assuming he was in la la land). Finally had to drag him out .. then he cuddled under the covers with me and went to sleep. About 30 minutes later my phone rang with an emergency with one of my granddogs. Had to meet them at the EC. Finally we all got to sleep at around 3AM. I have the other granddog here...he is also having issues and I am pup sitting soooo it is a bit busy here. Was hoping 2014 might be better? haha I don't know... Anyway....Timmy did not eat much this morning, but took his meds. Hopefully he will brighten up more as the day goes on... |
I sent an email to the vet nutritionist I use. She said that while sweet potatoes are high in oxylates, she does not think that put him over. She knows me well and knows I don't give a lot of treats. She said that while SO is a good food, he may need other options as she has seen pups develop stones while on it. She asked about Vit C and D supplements, because they can cause stones, but he has not been on them. So...having my vet refer him for a nutrition consult. |
