My sweet baby died12/16/13 I had a Red Yorkie rare and so beautiful. He was 5yrs old and full of life. I went to work that Monday morning and my husband calls me to tell me Chance was acting weird. He said he was lying on his side with his eyes still& lifeless. I told him to take to the vet. He did , well my vet was out on a call. So the nurse told him to rush him down the road to the other vet. As he was going there, chance was breathing harder& throwing up. He said Chance was still lifeless , couldn't hold his little head up. He had us on speaker phone as I was talking to Chance . He looked around the car & took his last breath. The vet said Chance had a seizure an couldn't come out of it. I went to my knees an couldn't breath myself. He was my little baby. Now he doesn't meet me at the door or give me his sugars.. I didn't know that yorkies are prone to haven seizures. My heart breaks for him. Ppl tell me he's went over to the Rain bow bridge. I ask myself will I see him again in heaven. Please give me some comfort knowing I'm not the only one that has had this happen to them. Thank-you .. |
I am so sorry for your loss. |

Only you can decide when you are ready for another. Just make sure that you are doing it because you are ready to love another one and not to try and replace the one you have lost. |
So very sorry to hear about Chance. <3 |
I can feel your pain, so sorry for your loss x |
So very sad, I am very sorry for your loss. |
Sorry for you're loss. I couldn't imagine loosing my babies. |
I'm so sorry for your loss... RIP Little Chance. I see nothing wrong with getting another yorkie this soon. Having another furbutt to love will help you heart to heal. Just don't expect them to be the same... I have 4 and they're all endearing but different. |
I am so sorry for your loss. Rest in Peace Chance |
Sorry So sorry for your loss. That pain is so bad. I see nothing wrong with getting another soon and in fact feel that if you can even consider it, than you should. Love heals. A new baby will fill the void, distract from the pain, and bring healing laughter. At least that is my experience just this year and brought me Tilly. Sending hugs and prayers. |
What a sad story, I am so sorry. |
Im so sorry for your loss, sending prayers |
I know it sounds bad but that is what I had to do.. I was in so much pain from my Penny's death. My husband recommended and insisted we get another dog. If we wouldn't have I would've just stayed in la la land forever.. Penny died of renal failure. I swear I thought I had lost a child!!!. She was only 6years old...I still think about her to this day and she has been gone for nearly 2 years already... |
Grieve as long as you need to. Get another dog when you're ready. It was tough when I lost my favorite dog so many years ago. I'm sorry for your loss.:( |
:\'( I feel your pain. It\'s never easy during these times. Let\'s just hope your baby is in a better place now. Nothing could have been done more. Condolence |
I am so sorry for the loss of your baby. You sound like a perfect Yorkie mom. If your heart is leading you to another Yorkie I would get another one. It would be no disrespect to your other pup. I\'m sure he knew how very much he was loved. You and your husband did the right thing trying to get your pup to the vet and it wasn\'t meant to be. There is nothing more you could have done. Again, I am so very sorry. |
I have read all of the sweet& thoughtful words from everyone. I hope everyone had a great Xmas . This site is wonderful. Thank-you ... Xxxooooo |
RIP, sweet Chance. I am so sorry, you are in my heart today:animal-pa |
Sorry to hear about Chance being called home way too early for you. My condolences!!! Good thing DH was around to give him the best chance. Sending you healing thoughts and hope that you will again open your big heart to another special pup. It is true that it will not be Chance, but think that Chance wouldn\'t want you to be in such pain for long, as it hurts you big time. He knew how much you loved him and how you have much more love to give... when the time is right. How did you come up with the name Chance? All the best in healing, happiness and health in 2014! |
Im sorry for you loss. |
very very sorry for your loss of your baby. sending you many prayers to help your heart. |
dog Comfort prayers sent to you. I do believe that we will see our dear family pets when we are called home. Read that rainbow bridge poem, it is so comforting. Just believe that we all have a Creator, the Lord God and He has a master plan. He created each of us, dogs too and He calls us back to him. We must hand over our loved ones and pets and know that in His presence is fullness of joy. Chance is not suffering, and you will see him! My Teddy Peanut Bear left us at 10 yrs. I know I will see that little rascal and I still cry thinking of him. Heaven will be filled with happy reunions! |
I am so sorry for your loss. My heart aches for you knowing the pain you\'re feeling. |
Rest in peace sweet Chance. You will know when your heart is ready for another pup. Anne/Luci |
I feel your pain and am so very sorry for your loss. I lost my little girl suddenly a little over a year ago. I "needed" to get another yorkie to fill the void that she left! I now has 2 new girls that fills my home with so much love. Responding to this brings on the tears as I miss her dearly. When you are ready, open your heart to another precious yorkie....it does heal some of the hurt! |
