Loving my animals You guys are amazing thank you so much for explaining and being great supporters . And I promise I will post pics and tell some about us . :aimeeyork |
Wow ,,,,,,well thank u to those who were nice to my wife she did wat the vet told her to until the pup started to bleed then as she's piling in the car with me driving bc she's sick with cancer an is panicking bc she nos this isn't good she's being bashed on here jeez her dog was poisoned and she had to put her to sleep think that's enough heartache for now . Like I said Ty to those who were decent to her tho. |
Coming from one of the "indecent" folks and one who herself has been battling cancer and still taking care of her pups; I can only say that I hope you all have learned a few lessons. If you have neighbors who hate pups, you need to never again let any pup in your care be unsupervised outside. If a tiny pup shows severe signs of illness, a vet should be contacted immediately. Ask youself what you would do if blood were pouring out of YOUR body...would you go online and do a search and ask what to do?? Not trying to sound heartless but I had the EXACT same circumstances in Feb. of this year. So...I am not just talking/typing out my backside. I merely hope that the future may be different should you choose to obtain another tiny pup. RIP Shasta |

I am in shock that any person could do such a horrible thing... for barking!! My heart goes out to you BIG time. No one should have to go through a 'child's' death because of an ignorant neighbor. You are in my thoughts and I sure hope that this terrible neighbor gets some sort of punishment!! I hope that you get twice as much love from your other dog, with many kisses. Cheers! |
Please keep your babies close to you and NEVER let them run artound outside unsupervised.....and if you see them eating stuff from the grass, you MUST stop it! ESPECIALLY now that you know what your neighbor is capable of doing.....and blood coming from ANYWHERE, is an emergent situation.....the smaller the dog, the more emergent the situation. You can NEVER let these babies go for even a 15 minute period of time, when you have blood pouring out of anywhere on the pup....they have less than a cup of blood circulating inside them.....I am so sorry for the loss of this poor little soul, who certainly did nothing to deserve such an ending to her life adventure. |
I am so sorry for the loss of your precious baby. I will keep you in my prayers. |
I am so sorry for the loss of your pup. RIP little Shasta. Also sending my prayers to you and your family for strength during this difficult time. |
I am so sorry for your loss and your ongoing battle of cancer. My heart goes out to you. I would maybe ask for this thread to be closed. You do not need the added stress of people's hurtful comments. Hindsight is 20/20. The important thing here is you lost your precious baby to a terrible tragedy. We can all learn from our own and others experiences good or bad. I know I will get slammed for this but I am entitled to my opinion just as others are. If not for humans our babies would not exist. I care about people and animals and I think you can do both! I don't want this thread to turn into a heated argument I just want to express my feeling to the OP. |
Well, I am all about helping people LEARN. I am sharing the following post of mine .. this incident happened the night before I was having surgery due to cancer. Not like I would ask a human being to do anything more than I would do. I also am sharing MY opinions about how to care for these tiny pups. No argument to that...it's real simple. :) I went to the vet...I did not come here to ask what to do about his bleeding...this is because I have learned...so I am merely sharing because it just might save a small pup's life one day. :) http://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/4130677-post1.html |
I hate these threads. I really do. People come on, ask for advice and then disappear for days. Then they have the nerve to get upset when someone expresses concern or frustration that there is no update. I just don't get it. |
not sure if the OP will come back, but if so I am sorry for your loss I can't help but wonder how your pup was able to eat so much of it without anyone knowing it since you said the pups never leave your side. I am glad you were able to find out what your neighbor did and what a jerk to think your dog belonged to someone else. I know it's hard because yorkies and most dogs like to run loose in their own yard, but I am finding more and more that even when in a fenced in yard it's not good to leave them unsupervised. Very sad situation, that's for sure |
It is so heart wrenching to read a story like this. I will never understand how anyone can be so cruel. Poor baby Shasta, RIP! |
Poisoned Doggy I am beyond horrified that a human being could be so cruel. This person is seriously sick in the head, heart and soul. I almost lost my baby to chocolate poisoning and the pain I felt was indescribable. I can only imagine how much you are hurting. I understand when you say they are like your children. I will pray that God can give you some comfort in the realization that your baby is still alive in spirit and if you look for little signs your baby will let you know she or he is happy and well and will see you again someday. |

You can put extra pressure on the matter by calling local media, newspapers and tv stations. Make sure the whole community knows about this. It won't bring back your precious pup, but may deter others from doing such things. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Hope you stay on Yorkie Talk and get to know some of the people here. You've never met such a big bunch of Yorkie lovers anywhere else, I'm sure. |
