He's doing well. He's such a good boy. I have to put this gel-like cream into his eye twice a day. He lets me lift his eyelid up and put it into the white of his eye. He doesn't care at all.

Here are a couple of pics. I realize that the photos still show a pretty big pink area and it may still look bad to some of you, but believe me it's much better than it was. The bump seems to have dried off and just flaked away. The pink you are seeing is now almost flat and just looks like a change in pigmentation, like it did 6 weeks ago. The vet says that the rim under his eye may always be pink and may not turn black. I could care less. I don't plan on showing my dog, although I know he would win a ribbon:D

Karen, his eye looks *awesome*! So much better :). Good boy, Max. Love the lounging position....so shy :rolleyes:.

Thanks for the update Karen, I know how scared you've been about your baby. My heart hurt for Max and you as well. Seeing the new photos, I can see a huge improvement in Max's eye since the first photo. It's quite obvious the lump is now flat! ;) Thank God! I'm so happy and relieved for Max and for you! :) Love the photo of Max just chillin' out! :D

:D Oh my goodness Karen.....I recognise that 'lounging' position.....:p :D

As Max's twin, Harry would like to say well done for being such a very good boy for his mummy.....and he's SO HAPPY that he's looking, so probably feeling, so very much better :)

Sorry hon, my thumbs up didnt come across right.i was trying to highlight on my iPhone and got too big a chunk. I was agreeing that Max would win.

Can you tell in the picture how it appears to be healing? I am to only assume that if it goes away completely we killed whatever was there, if of course it was more than just a cyst/lump. He has a follow up appointment in a month.

It looks good to me...the second picture is a good one. Looks WAY better than it did.

Lookin' good there Max! My healing thoughts and prayers that it continues to get better every single day. Oh and about that last picture, that's what Winston does when I say "I Love You" to him...it's his way of saying "I Love You Too"!

Max looks just like my JoJo. He is adorable. I am so glad his eye is healing. I pray healing will come soon for sweet Max. He is a great dog to let you put those drops in. I would be chasin JoJo all over the house. Bless you and Max with healthy days ahead!

Thanks everyone. Max is a very sweet, submissive dog. I say "it's time for medicine" and he runs to his way-too-small-for-him bed and rolls over on his back. He doesn't care what I do to him at that point. He's a great boy :)

A month has passed and today we have our follow up appointment in about an hour. Wish us luck! It looks to me as though it healed quite nicely. I hope I'm right. I don't believe it's a raised bump anymore as it seems to be completely flat.

Thanks! I just took this photo a moment ago. Between the pink eye rim and the dead skin on his back he's a real show stopper:p
