Sometimes they get a "bug" just like us. But...I really don't like Little Ceasar dog food..imo. If he is having a "gurgling tummy" something is bothering him. When it comes to feeding there are many pasionate opinions. You will have to do your research and come to your own opinion. I The two factors that really influenced me are: The many recalls of some dog food companies... yes dogs have become very ill and even died from contaimated food. The ingredients... the use of low quality fillers such as corn and even chicken by products..yuck Last ...but no way least... the source of the protein. What animals they use, sick animals? I have seen some reports that say they do. I will only buy from a company that uses "human grade protein" I feed fromm, my dd feeds her puppy blue buffalo. I also homecook which is a total different story. Good luck |
WOW- I went through this same ordeal with my Logan about a month ago. He was vomiting and had blood in his stool, acting lethargic, etc. So of course we went into panic mode and went to the 24 hour Emergency Vet... bloodwork, x-rays, just like you. They couldn't find anything wrong! The ER vet said at some point while he was on his walk he must have snarfed something up that we didn't see... a dead bird, garbage, something. She injected some fluids and that seemed to revive him. She gave us a few cans of prescription food for g/i issues and we had him on a "bland" diet for a few days...half-n-half VERY LEAN (95/5) boiled hamburger and rice. He ate that like he'd never seen food and rebounded 100%. We had to slowly switch him back to his usual kibble, but he was back to his usual (hyperactive) personality. It was a really scary ordeal and you're right, they're just like little babies- you just never know. Keep us posted!!! |
I am so glad your pup is back to normal |
Be very careful about lawn mushrooms, my breeder lost one her hers to that. Her others got really sick. I think its trial and error with them all. They are all different. Jess eats royal canin, turkey bits or boiled chicken, cheese. Occasional carrot or romaine lettuce and blue buffalo bites. Cheerios too. Bully sticks made her sick as did egg whites. |

He is 4 months old. He had all but his last vaccine the day he got sick, but two days ago, I took him to get the final vaccine including the rabies vaccine. Oh, he didn't like that too much. Thank you for the advice. :) |

I also remember when I was outside trying to potty train him, we recently had a lot of rain and there were wild mushrooms every where. I just started yanking them out of the ground and throwing them over the fence after I caught him chewing on one, because I don't know if these things are poisonious or not. I caught him chewing on one and yelled out at him NO. I don't know how much of it he ate, not much I don't think. Thank you for the advice. Can you tell me about what you use to bathe them with? I thought about using Johnson's baby shampoo. He's still a little too young for the groomer, I think. He gets really dirty around his mouth so I need something safe cause he licks when I wash him there. |

I didn't know Fruitables made supplements! We got a bag of the treats once, but our American Eskimo wanted NO part of it... LOL... I think he could tell it was "health food" - Our Yorkie didn't mind them, though. I wonder if the supplements would go over better... hmmm... |

It was beef. And it had been coated with flour and fried. DH gave her the piece. :(. Boiled or baked chicken is fine. If your baby is prone to tummy issues the vet might recommend Science Diet I/D. There are other brands but I know nothing about them. I feed Rosie the I/D and I also home cook for her. I have a recipe from Petdiets. My girls love the homecooking!! And you control what they are being fed. :) |
My yorkie ate a whole ice cream waffle cone ( no ice cream in it ). She jumped on a chair by the dining room table and then jumped on the table( first time). She seemed fine She sleeps with me and just woke me up at 5:30AM throwing up a little yellow stuff. I can hear her tummy rumbling .Now she is sleeping but I wonder can a waffle cone poison her? |
I wouldn't think so, but I don't know. I would call the vet just to be sure. |
