Poor girl!! Praying Rosie recovers quickly. I can imagine you are frustrated with your husband. Are there safe treats that you can make readily available for him when he can't resist giving the girls something? |
I just read about Rosie. I hope she is doing better. It is so hard to see our little ones sick. |
Moki can eat all the veggie he wants. His boiled chicken, fish or any meats cooked with no spices just for him. But Beef he doesn't do well with beef or Pork. He gets a tummy ache. But he can eat anything and everything else like a garbage can no problem. I think its unusual ??? |
Rosie has played with Mikki a little today! I think we may be feeling a little better! Yay! |
Glad to hear Rosie is feeling a little. Hoping she is back to 100% very soon. Sending her hugs and kisses. |
Yay! I just saw this. I'm glad she's improving. <3 Hard to believe that a little bit of meat could have that effect! :-( Poor little girl! ... and, at least for me, it is impossible to get a man (DH in particular) to listen. Ha ha. |
I didn't see this before today. I'm so happy that Rosie is feeling better, but I'm so sorry that Rosie was sick in the first place. |
I hope Rosie is doing well now. Poor baby! Bless her heart! The other day hubby asked me if Libby can have pineapple. I told him pineapple is okay, but only a piece or two. He said, "Oh good, because I gave her some last night." I told him it's a little late to be asking me now. |
So glad Rosie's feeling better! My Dh started giving Peek A Boo a tiny piece of cheese in the morning. By week's end, he was giving a whole slice (of tiny pieces). I stumbled out of bed to see Peek hunched over trying to walk. I asked, 'Okay, what have you been feeding him, how much exactly, how often and when did this start? ' DH's jaw hit the floor! How did you know? I said, ' Well, you see how he's walking? That's a sign of Pancreatitis. Where's your wallet? Oh and call work, you'll be late today bc we have to go to the vet.... NOW! Get dressed, we'll be in the car. Thank God it was caught very early on. It only cost $200.00 for the exam, tests, and meds, and he was able to come right home. Left untreated, the bill would have increased exponentially, and Peek would have needed to be hospitalized for at least a week. And hopefully he would have survived. Some don't, and I know my DH would never be able to forgive himself. We always have Cheerios on hand. If he can't get past 'those eyes', then Cheerios it is! |

Thanks all! She is doing better! DH still swears it wasn't him that caused it. However we all know the truth! |

So glad Rosie is feeling better! |
So glad that Rosie is better! Rhonda you really do need to find a way to convince your hubby of the dangers of table scraps for these pups. Maybe take him with you for a vet appointment and have the vet explain it to him?? They really can get pancreatitis and die very quickly even with great veterinary care. They can turn on a dime. It's really scary. |
