OK...I don't know who the specialist is, but this sounds odd to me. I have never heard of a vet saying that a mast cell tumor should not be removed. I hope he is right. College of Veterinary Medicine |

I need to edit to say the specialist works 3 times a month. |

Sounds very promising, hope this works!!! |
Just thought I'd post an update. Dolly's now had her 3 monthly injections & seems to be feeling fine. She's had a little diarrhea for the last 6 weeks & I'm thinking it's from the injections (steroids?). Had the poop analyzed, but you know how that goes, they never find anything. So I'm hoping the whole cancer scare is in the past. I'll definitely be examining her body often, knowing she's a bit more susceptible to a recurrence. Thanks everyone for caring. Dolly's a real tough cookie & "never" gets sick so I'm expecting many more years with her. She still has the energy & curiosity of a puppy. |
Way to go Dolly, I really do hope and pray she beats this. Bless her sweet little heart!!! |
I'm glad things worked out so well for Dolly. She sounds like a sweetie. |
Great to hear Dolly is doing so well! |
Yay for Dolly, hope it never comes back! |

Great news for you and Dolly, hope that nasty lump is gone for good. |
Thanks for the well wishes everyone. Dolly is a trooper & I hope you'll be reading about her for many many years to come! |
