Yes, I agree with Buster, a vet check is in order, while sometimes food allergies can cause paw itching, I would worried it might be something more serious since you say it looks swollen. There’s something called a Foxtail, that can get lodged in between their toes, and it’s very painful and should be caught as soon as possible because they can work their way up further the foot. Once they catch on animals’ fur, they can become lodged in their skin (most often in the webbing between the toes), ear canal, or nose.
