Senior Yorkie Talker | Bella is being spayed today..... Bella was spayed earlier today. I pick her up at 430. What should I expect for the next few days?

| She probably won't be quite with it tonight and just want to sleep. By tomorrow she will start acting normal. All dogs react differently to anesthesia just like people. Was she having any baby teeth pulled too?

| Yeah, she'll be a little sleepy and keep to herself tonight, probably. I agree with having mineral oil on hand. She may not want to eat or drink at first, so it would be good to have some chicken broth to drizzle on her kibble and hand feed her for the first night or so. Water - I actually got the clear Pedialyte and used a medicine dropper/syringe and gave Mandie fluids that way until she would drink on her own (which was the next day)

Donating YT 30K Club Member | I am glad Bella's spay went well. As the others said she will be a little sleepy tonight and move a little slower, but it is amazing how fast they get back to normal.

| They are all different in how they do. My Jewels shaked the whole night I brought her home but the next day she was back to normal. What you want to watch for is for her to poo. Also no baths for 2 weeks

Senior Yorkie Talker | I picked her up & she's sleeping now. Luckily she didn't have to have any dental work done. I'm trying to keep her separated from my other 2. She drank a little water & ate 3 bites of food. The vet told me to feed her tuna on oil to counteract the constipation. Thanks for all the advice

| HOw is Bella doing? So glad the spay went well. Chloe was really sleepy and uncomfortable the first night and then she was back to normal the next day. Did they give you any pain pills? Chloe needed hers the first few days at night just cause I could tell she was uncomfortable after the day. Hers was 2 weeks ago yesterday.

Senior Yorkie Talker | My daughter said that the red is razor burn. Look at the huge tattoo. This was taken yesterday and it looks better today. Thank goodness. She is still doing great.

Senior Yorkie Talker | Yeah, I wasnt to happy about that. Some of the vet techs arent up to my standards, but I adore out vet.

Senior Yorkie Talker | Also, they use the scalpel method instead of the laser. Sadie, my other yorkie goes to a vet that my daughter interns for while she attends vet school. They offer the laser which is supposed to be alot better than using the scalpel.
