Just seeing this, I hope Momo is ok. I know he was lapping up broth but is it possible he took to much in at once and it blocked his airway? Once my sister was pet sitting for my girls and Pixie got food and hair caught in her throat and reacted the way Momo did. She though she was dying. She fell over and legs flailing. I know it's a long shot but thought I'd mention it. Keeping him in my prayers. |
Oh wow that is scary Jenny! I am so sorry that happened to your MoMo. I will be sending prayers for your sweet MoMo. (((HUGS))) |
Just seeing this. I am so sorry, Jenny...so scary. Hope Momo is doing ok now. Will keep him and you in my thoughts and prayers. |
I sure hope Momo is doing fine now,am wondering what the vet thought after the appointment. Hopefully it was a one time incident, maybe eating too fast or something like that...but as always, it's best to get him checked out to be sure there is nothing else going on. Winston has seizures, whether from low blood sugar or epilepsy I don't know for certain. He always has low blood sugar during and after seizure activity, but don't know which came first, ya know? It is scarey, especially the first one...but Winston has been doing fine and he had his first at 3 years old and is now 9. I will keep you both in my prayers and hope for the very best outcome. |
Just seeing this Jenny, I can only imagine how terrified you must have been at the time. Praying the vet gave Momo a clean bill of health today. |
checking in on Momo. what did the vet say? |
2 Attachment(s) By the time we got back from the vet, it was dinner time & then we went for a walk...sawwie for the wait! Vet thinks it wasn't a seizure. It could have been his long tongue blocking his air way & it didn't help bc he has a short snout. I don't know if I should be embarrassed or what! His heart & lungs sounded good & they took blood & urine to do the tests. I will have the results tomorrow afternoon. We also took an x-ray to see if he had any stones from the crystals but didn't see any. Other than the crystals, vet says Momo is very healthy. He did notice some protein in his last urinalysis, not sure what that means, so will wait for the results tomorrow. Here's some pics I took, this one was on the way home w/my cell phone: Attachment 383480 @ home, they put a cute bandana on him Attachment 383481 Momo & I Thank everyone for your positive thoughts & prayers! Will update when I get the blood & urinalysis test results tomorrow. ✘❤✘❤ |
