Something is wrong with Clyde's leg ....

I woke up this morning and found Clyde wouldn't walk on his foot :( and he'd cry out whenever anyone would try to touch his leg. I don't know what could have happened between last night and this morning, but I'm going to take him to the vet right now to see what the heck is going on with his leg.

I was sleeping on the floor last night with him so I know it isn't because he jumped off of anywhere high in the night.

I'll update when I return from the vet, but hopefully it isn't anything serious.

I don't know if you can tell from the picture, but he is hovering his little leg in the air ... and right now he is laying down on the floor with a look of much discomfort on his face.


My appointment isn't until one so you probably won't hear in update from me in awhile, but I'm hoping for nothing serious! :(

Check his fingernails? Sometimes they break off or crack. Keep us posted.

Awe Sarah positive thoughts for you and sweet Clyde. Hoping its nothing serious and the Vet can give him something to make him feel better quick! Keep us posted.

I did get a little look at his fingernails, and they didn't look broken, but maybe there is a crack I can't see.

OH NO! I hope he didn't jump off of something and hurt it! :( Unless he didn't move at all last night...

Poor baby....hopefully, it is something "simple" like a nail issue....prayers for a quick, simple resolve for a simple issue.

Did he have his front dew claws removed when he was a pup? If not, check them. Sometimes they can grow in a curl and dig back into the skin.

He must have fallen off something or twisted his foot when he got his dew claw caught on something because he has a little tiny sprain in his little leg.

Thanks for all of the positive thoughts today, Clyde went to the vet, and turns out that one of the problems was that his due claw was causing him discomfort ... but he also has a slight sprain in his leg. So he will have to rest for awhile, and the vet wants to see him again in a couple of days to make sure there is nothing more serious wrong with his little leg. The vet thinks Clyde caught his daw claw and twisted his foot trying to get it uncaught. So as of right now he is sitting all comfy now that his leg isn't bothering him so much and taking a nap.

Awe poor baby. Laddy caught one of his and tore it half way off once poor little things. I see why they remove them as puppies after having Laddy.

Lol ... thanks! As of today he seems to be doing fine. Still a little sore and a little mad at momma for keeping him confined when all he wants to do is go chase Dexter around.
