Thanks for checking up on us =) We are doing ok last night was hard. He cried a lot so took him out of his little space and put some blankets on the floor and slept with him. Today he seems a little better. The problem is he keeps wanting to lay the leg he had surgery on. I don't know if that will hurt his leg or not. He keeps moving around trying to comfortable. I feel bad I don't know what to do. Its also hard to carry him because they put his stitches on the inside of his leg so I'm scared to hold him because his other foot will touch the stitches. I hope this get easier because its going to be a long 8weeks for both of us. | I would not worry about how he is laying on his leg. He is only going to do what he can tolerate. As for holding him, try to relax and not worry about it too much...I have found that it is best to keep the leg that was operated on away from my body. Other than that, I just hold them normally.
It will get easier for you ... it is just a bit nerve wracking at first. :) |
