Please pray for Sassy I took my sassy to the vet today as she has not been feeling well the last few days.. her abdominal area is totally bloated and she is not eating normally and her poop has changed....she is still drinking and peeing... the vet tested her for heartworm and intestinal parasites and it came up negative ....we put her on meds hoping it will help... we think she may have an infection...if she doesnt show improvement in the next few days we need to take her in for x-rays...if the meds dont work the vet said that she may have a partial blockage of intestine, or a tumor in stomach or this may be the early stages of heart failure....she is 8 an I took her from a puppy mill almost two years ago...she was used for breeding....please pray for my furr baby.... |
Sassy You must be so distressed about your little one. She is not feeling well at all with the bloating pain. I pray the meds will work and make her better, but in any event I am sure the vet will be able to cure her. He has given all the worst case scenarios, so do not fret until you know more and a diagnosis. So sorry for Sassy's illness and may she get well soon. |
Saying a prayer for Sassy to feel better soon. Hopefully those meds will kick in and it is just an infection. She's been through enough in her 8 years. Bless you for rescuing her from a puppy mill. I'm sure she knows you are doing your best to take care of her and love her...that will help her fight off her sickness..being loved. :) |

update on sassy Well im just posting to update you all.....There is not much change in Sassy..the meds dont seem to be working,but i will give it a few more days.. the last time she pooped was early yesterday morning and it was almost clear liquid....I am still hoping for the best though....will keep you updated. Thank you all for your prayers and hugs....they are very much appreciated... |
I'm sorry to hear the meds don't seem to be working. If she is still pooping clear liquid, you may want to go ahead and take her back in soon. Praying for Sassy. |

Sassy Poor little girl. So sorry she is still not feeling well. With the holidays coming and few vets available perhaps she should be seen soon and more exploratory tests done? The clear poop and little improvement does not suggest she is getting well on her own. An obstruction could be very serious if left alone. So kind of you to give her a wonderful home after the sad puppy mill life. Good luck and prayers for Sassy. |

update on sassy Sassy finally pooped this morning and left a big hard formed poop in kitchen with two small ones that were semi-formed. she ate a little bit today too. other than that not alot of change.... |
Sassy Thank you for the update. Some positive progress if she pooped well and ate a little. :-)) Did you try her with some pumpkin, it is sometimes good for tummy issues? How long did the vet suggest you observe her before he checked her out again? Praying she is feeling better soon. |

Sassys update Well Sassy had the same bowel movement this morning but outside, lol. It was a large solid one and a little bit of soft...the vet said he wanted to see her back after the holidays...I did try some pure pumpkin before she went to vet and it didnt seem to work....and she is still really bloated.... |
