I'm so glad Lola seems to be doing ok now. It is so TOTALLY a man thing. My hubby is the same way. I tell him over and over not to give Mandie stuff (he's so used to being able to give the big dog things). He will say ok and that he gets it and then I'll see her walking by with something in her mouth or chewing. grrrrr |
I guess I just got lucky with mine... He is the people food police in our house!! Now my stepmom is the one who lets Guinney have anything and everything so DH has banned her for watching Guinness or letting him go for sleepovers. |

My hubby is the same way too. Once, Allie got an upset tummy and was quiet all day. Hubby felt so awful. He held her, and I could see his heart was just breaking that he had caused her to not feel well. Since then we've had no more issues, and I think he learned his lesson. I bet your dh feels awful too. He does love that little princess. |
she seems fine now, and it was a boneless pork chop so there were no bones. Glad I did not yell and scream like I wanted to, I think it sank in better by being calm and serious. At 57 and 23 years of marriage, I might be finally getting it:D |

Well my dh is always in denial. "Oh they will be okay." Yeah right. Last night Kayla got hold of an apple that fell off the table. I didn't see what she had until dh said I think its an apple and she took it to her bed. I give them peeled apples sometimes but never ever the peeling. Oh she will be okay.... I called the emergancy vet and he said peelings were not toxic. I just didn't believe that, so this morning I called my vet. He told me what to give her to coat her tummy. What was funny though, dh called to she how she was and he said she threw up and he had to clean it up because I was still asleep. I think he may have learned his lesson. lol!!! Let your hubby clean up a few pukes and it helps get the message across. |
oohh boy I'd be pissed too! I KNOW my husband slips my boys food, but now it's only pre-approved foods that I am ok with. I scared the crap out of all of them with food and vet bills. Plus when Fletch had bloody diarrhea ALL over the kitchen one time and I was not the first one home and he had to clean it. He then threatened the kids to within an inch of their life to not feed the dogs ANYTHING ever, but dog food and dog treats! LOL Ive got my household trained now! Shared finances helps too, before it was $400 out of my account, now it's $400 out of the JOINT acct. He does not like that too much! LOL Glad shes ok though! |
