I am so sorry for your loss. She was in her bed, in her home, close to those she loved, and passed in her sleep. There is no better way to go to the Rainbow Bridge than that.

I saw you gently weeping as you looked through photographs
You paused for just a moment at one that made you laugh;
But as you turned more pages the tears began to flow
You whispered that you missed me but I want you to know;
I softly licked those stinging tears that down your cheeks did fall

I'm so sorry to read about your little one and such a tragic loss. At least that sweet one is out of pain and sickness.

I am very sorry for your loss. Although our little ones physically leave us, the love shared between us and our loved ones lasts forever.

Our shih tzu also has a serious liver problem. When we screened him for neutering they discovered that his liver enzymes were way above normal. He was given meds for a week and then they repeated the tests and they came back good. Now almost a year later he is back to square one again. He's been on meds for a month and we brought him back to be retested. We are now waiting for the results of his tests. He also has a juvenile cataract in one eye and they can't do surgery until they clear up his liver problem. Owning a dog is very expensive and you have to be prepared for anything.

Regarding insurance, I recently insured my 5 month old puppy. I think it\'s worth it because two trips to the vet have cost us $600, which is the yearly insurance premium. And mine always gets sick when the regular vet closes and then we have to go to expensive emergency vet. His insurance coverage lessens the financial burden on me so that I can ensure that he gets the best medical attention.

A little over 24hrs and I\'m still depressed. I know I could\'ve done more. I wish I could go back in time and had the surgery even if it meant just one more year with her. She had just turned 6 in November. And it\'ll be 6 years we had her come this Valentines Day. I miss her so much. I never thought I would be this attached to a dog. Going home and not seeing her jump up and down or when we brought groceries home she would go through all of them looking for her stuff. I love my other 2 yorkies but they just don\'t compare to her I\'m affraid to say.

it will take time, hold on to your other babies they will help fill the empty place you feel right now.. Sending prayers.
