Oh, so glad Olivia is doing better. Scared me when I read the email from this thread this morning.... Please give Olivia a gentle hug from her fans in Kentucky. :) |

Olivia has an appointment on Thursday with the specialist. She was due this month anyway for an ultrasound and also another UPC. Even though her labs are normal, her protein is still on the low normal side and I will feel better if he sees her. I was going to wait until closer to Christmas or even the first week of January, but better to get it done now. |
I'm sure the specialist is going to be very happy with how well Olivia is doing. I'm so glad she's feeling better! |
SO glad Olivia is doing better. We will keep her in our thoughts and prayers. |
Praying all goes well at the specialist. Keep us updated! |
Just got home from GCVS. Olivia's ultrasound is still the same....I would prefer that her gall bladder and liver would show improvement, but the fact that it is not getting worse is good. The specialist said that as long as she looks ok clinically, we will just continue to watch her closely. They did a UPC on her and he will be calling me tomorrow with those results. I saw the vet nutritionist in the waiting room prior to my appt and she stopped to ask about Cookie. I told her about Olivia's issues and what she is eating now and she feels that we need to change that because of her renal issues (which I really did know but with Olivia being such a picky eater, I have put it off...just have been happy she is eating). Anyway....she suggested that I try her with some Orzo and a little chicken...see if she will eat that and if she does then she can formulate a diet for her. She gave me her email so that IF Olivia does not like the pasta, she can make some other suggestions to try before doing a diet. So, I am very pleased about that. So, all is good now....will pray that the UPC shows some improvement. |
That's good news so far! I hope the UPC results show improvement. With Daisy, it took a few months on benazypril for the UPC really to go down. I wish daisy could tolerate pasta so I didn't have to develop contact dermatitis on my hands while preparing her majesty's BN squash. The boys like the mini shells and it is a little less messy than orzo. |
Yeah Olivia!! Hang in there baby. ;) |
