Just catching up here... I agree with what Brit posted. Also CV, I believe is Corona Virus, which only affects pups under 8 weeks of age. Also Rabies, DHPP and CV is actually 3 shots/injections. DHPP is a combo vaccine, and is usually given that way, although it can be broken down further if need be. That's why it's best given separately from the Rabies and any other vaccines. I would check to see what the law in your area/city requires. That is what you only really need to do with an older dog, if you plan to stay legal, lol. If your dog has issues with any vaccine, check to see about getting a medical waiver, which makes it legal to not get the required vaccines. Shame on your vet. You all have been through enough. You deserve a vet that practices with animal health as the priority, not their pocketbook. |
That makes sense because there are two little stickers on Layla's proof of vaccination, but the receipt just says "DHPP + CV" with one price. For the other two dogs, the receipt also says "DHPP + CV" as one price, and then another line for "Rabies" with a price. So I guess for some reason whenever she gives DHPP she also gives CV and just charges one rate for both. Weird. I googled "DHPP + CV" and all of the sites just link to new puppy vaccinations. And the CV is corona virus. Our vet is really nice and loves our dogs, but here is just another loss of trust. I am going to research EVERYTHING from now on! |
