Callie not feeling good Callie is not feeling well. She is coughing some and when she moves sometimes making what I thought was a groan but I think it may be wheezing. She was eating grass a lot yesterday and I thought she might have had a tummy ache and was coughing to try and throw up but I don't think that what it is anymore. She is eating, drinking, peeing and pooing normally but has a little less energy then normal and just has those I don't feel good eyes. I am hoping its nothing bad but we will be taking her to the vet in the morning. It could be allergies I am guessing but just not sure. What do yall think it could be? Also please keep Callie in your prayers. |
Taylor I'm sorry poor Callie is not feeling well, with this heat, regardless of airconditioning it could be a number of things. Have you taken her temperature? If you can't get her into a vet today, or she doesn't seem "that sick" I would get her some Pedialyte and give it to her for now. I would also stick to a bland diet, keep an eye on her and as I'm sure you know, if she gets worse RUN to the vet. Please keep us posted. ((((Callie and Taylor)))))) |
I'm so sorry Callie is sick. It is so hard when they are sick. Keep her hydrated as that is a huge concern. If she gets worse I would go to the vet today. It may just be a bug going around. Mikki got sick recently and antibiotics had her back to normal quickly. Hope she gets to feeling better. I will say a prayer for Callie. |

Hope Callie feeling better soon. Let us know what the vet says. If she keeps coughing, remember that's what Tibbe had when he first came down with pneumonia and early vet care stopped his in its tracks. |

Thanks everyone. She didn't cough except once this morning and hasn't sense then. I think it maybe a combo of heat and allergies because its been so hot outside even with the ac going its 4 degrees hotter in the house so I think it could be effecting her. She played with Sammy like crazy and ran around today and is still eating and drinking so we will see how she is doing in the morning. |

No coughing today yet. She ate very well this morning. My eyes are still watching her constantly to see if she coughs or is making any weird breathing noises. I think she thinks I may have lost my mind walking up to her and just standing there listening to her lol. |
That is good news!! Hopefully she is on her way to recovery! |
We had some more noises that sound like wheezing. It was not terrible but I did call the vet and we have an appointment at 2pm tomorrow but she said if she gets worse to call and come in. We think occasionally we might hear a little rattle in her chest but there is no coughing. Still eating, drinking and going potty normal. |

Vet said it seems like Callie has a little bug and gave us some antibiotics and a cough suppressant. She said if she starts getting worse to bring her back right away. She had a small temp as well as some throat irritation. You can tell she feels ickie. I feel so bad for her. |
Pretty good news so far. At least the lungs were clear, etc., so probably nothing big going on and in a day or two Callie will be feeling better - sure hope she is. |

Callie is not very happy with me right now because her antibiotic says take with a meal but no dairy products so should couldnt have her yogurt after her dinner like normal. |

Mine love chicken baby food. I hide their pills in it and use it for a treat! Plus it has the consistancy of yogurt.... |
