Prayer Request - Cayenne had a Terrible Fall!
 
My baby Cayenne (5 month) had a terrible fall last night. Even though she is very active and enjoys jumping around she never tries to get on the tables in the house. Something caught her attention last night and she decided to jump from a foot stool to the living room table and lost her footing.
She hit her chin/neck on the table and then fall flat onto the floor. She tried to get up and yelled out in pain. Instantaneously I started crying too, I felt so helpless. After a few minutes she tried to stand up and walk again and this time she would limp and then fall down.
I immediately took her to the vet (which I trust) and the doctor examining her limb by limb and she did not show sign of pain until he turned her neck to the left. My baby yelled out again. He said it could be two things: either she bruised her neck or her spinal cord. I requested an x-ray but he stated that he didn’t want to take my money because at this time he didn’t deem it necessary. He gave me a pain reliever and an anti-inflammatory drug to give her and told me to observe her for the next few days.
My energetic, fiery baby is not the same. My heart is aching and I pray she gets better really soon.

P.S. The purpose of this post is for prayer requests and awareness. I would not want anyone else to experience what I am going through.

So sorry hope the meds help and it is nothing serious. These little stinkers think they can do anything.

I know how fearless and wild they can be. It can happen in a split second. Sending hugs and prayers for you and your little one. I hope she is better very soon.

Praying for your little one and you. Don't beat yourself up over it they really do think they are superdogs and try a lot of things we wish they wouldn't.

Hopefully little Cayenne is feeling better today. Saying prayers for her....

I would be a bit uneasy about not doing an xray. Hopefully, she is fine this morning, but if not, I think I would be at the vet talking to him about doing an xray.

Prayers that Cayenne is feeling better soon. I would have the x-ray's done. By any chance did the Vet do anything to stabilize the neck area so she can't turn it and hurt it more?

Praying this little one is feeling better & nothing serious happened to her neck. Just for safety's sake, get an x-ray to be sure nothing - no little neck bone or tiny bony prominence has been fractured off & starting to migrate.

Litte Cayenne will be in my thoughts and prayers. I hope she will bounce back to her normal fiery self soon. My little guy took a leap when he was just a puppy, only 16 weeks old or so, and he hit his head and made a terrible noise. I cried like crazy and took him to the vet. Nothing ended up being wrong (after some time of being stressed worrying about him) and I hope your situation ends exactly like that too.
