Thanks, this is what the vet told me today when I called.

My sitter called earlier, she hasn't had a loose BM since I left but she could not get her to eat. She did drank some water, was acting a little playful with Jack then back off to herself.

I am going to get the babyfood on the way and try this.

I didnt have luck with the RX food before and basically wasted it. I didnt want to get it again and it go to waste.

Do you just leave yours out (the RX food)to free feed or try to get them to eat it?

Jack nor Josie would eat this when they had their "treat posioning" both would turn their nose to it and walk away.

I used the canned food, so no, I did not leave it out. I have yet in all of my years had a problem with a pup eating it...and I have fed it to many. BTW, if you buy it, you can return it if they don't like it! Of course, if you just get a can of it, not much of an investment.

Once they lose their appetite, it's hard to get them to eat. Princess had colitis from stress last week & I had to syringe feed her bc she lost her appetite. Once you get something in them, they'll eat. In a blender, mix the whice rice, chicken & some sort of fiber to help bulk up her stool. I used carrots or green beans (both slightly cooked) & add a little water. That'll make it soupy & you can draw it up the syringe. Hope Josie will better real soon!

Update on Josie

First thanks everyone for all your helpfeul advice. I did try some, but with not getting any results I took her back to vet on Monday the 2nd.

Vet did more blood work, which was all okay. Lower her mg of metronidazole, extracted her anal glands (says they were a little full) and gave her the Royal Canine recovery dog food which she loved and still loves.

I started seeing immediantialy results Monday night from her. I am wondering if the anal glands had something to do with her not boucing back as she should have.

Today I will put her at a 99.99% recovery. She is back to playing with her toys, beating up on Jack and ruling the roost again. I feel so much. Bless everyone who has long term sickness with their furbabies. I had about a 10 day run and about went bonkers I can't imagine what you go through with the longer term sickness.

Thanks again for everyone's advice.

That's wonderful that Josie is doing so much better!! Yes, anal glands can cause them to be out of whack!
Also great that you found a food that worked for her!

So glad to hear she's doing well... I agree, anal glands can make them miserable and sick!
