The boys have a bug This happened to us once before, over a year ago. It was like a 24 hour flu. Like last time, we are in desperate need of rain and I think the germs are piling up outside. Teddy vomited his dinner last night and both of the boys are doing very mild, burpy dry heaves every once in awhile today. I fed them light this morning and the food is staying down. They are adequately hydrated, drinking water, gums are moist and pink, but I can see in their eyes that they are not feeling their best. Of course, they want to be active and eat, but I am encouraging them to rest. Hoping they are back to normal tomorrow, otherwise we'll have a family outing to the vet's office. |
Ohhh Noooo..... :( Yeah, it has been Crazy HOT/HUMID here.... we are supposed to get some rain this weekend, I think. Sending good vibes and hoping Teddy & Max have a quick recovery!! Give them extra belly rubs from me & Riley!!!! :D |
hope they feel betta real soon! |
Awww poor Max and Teddy. I hope they feel better soon :(. I'm hoping for some rain too.... this weather is INSANE! |
Oh poor Max and Teddy! Hopefully a little rest and they'll be feeling better by morning. Otherwise, a family trip and a little antibiotics may not be the worst thing in the world. They'll be fine. |
Thank you everyone. Posting a thread and having good vibes sent must already be helping -- the boys wrestled like maniacs for 30 minutes.:) They are sleeping again. |

Hope your babies feel better soon! The weather definitely is a factor in them not feeling well. We have had a couple extremely hot days and I refuse to take Romeo outside (he can put on all the sad faces, sit by the door and cry, or be mad at me) for fear he might pick up germs that love hot, humid weather. |

He was pulling, major wanting to get to his play area.... once we did, he looked up at me and his tongue was totally curled up and he was panting... He didn't want to go in but I ended up picking him up and carrying him back inside... it was just too hot and he did not care... but I did not want him getting overheated!! Glad they are already feeling better!!!!! :D |

I normally keep him inside in this weather and just open up the dining room window and let him look out. I feel so bad because he was getting used to looooooong walks when it was nice out. If this weather doesn't get any better, he is gonna start getting chunky!! I even thought for a second, last night that I might have to have him shaved for summer.... But I Loooooove his Hair!! I don't think I can do it! |

Poor boys...do hope they are feeling better soon. |
Just seeing this. Hope they are feeling better Kristin. I can't believe I was complaining about the weather here! Hot and humid is def much worse! At night at least we get back down to the 60s... for now. |
Thank you everyone. We have a big, loud thunderstorm overhead and I am happy to have the rain. Teddy is wrapped up in his Thundershirt, poor guy. |
Poor Teddy. I don't know if you saw it on my other thread .. my vet's partner says he sees a lot of sick pups after thunderstorms. Actually, it did not surprise me. |
I hope Max and Teddy are feeling better. It is always so worrisome when our guys are not themselves. |
Hi Kristin, Hoping this post finds Max and Teddy feeling better. |
Update Thank you everyone for the well wishes. I think everyone is back to normal. The bug seems to have lasted only 24 hours, like last time. Quote:
