Oh, I really hate when someone doesn't update, it makes me think the worst has happened:( I hope this tiny one is recovering well and she's just busy taking care of her.

I like to think they found YT in a time of need and are too busy enjoying their healthy happy furbaby to get back on...or at least that's what I repeatably tell myself.

Hello All, I to am also new to YT. My little Rambo was 10 weeks old when we brought him home and had all his puppy shots from the breeder. He was starting obedience classes on January 9 so we took him to the Vet on Jan 7 for his 12 week shots and Bordetella and my Vet told me that when the breeders give Parvo when they are 6 or 8 weeks old it's not effective. The other shots that they get at the same time override the Parvo. So Rambo got a Parvo shot that day and we went back two weeks later for the second one.

Just thought I would let you know. If you are bringing home a new baby and you've been told they already had their Parvo shot maybe check with your Vet and see what their policy is on Parvo shots and when the pup is to get it.

That is a blanket statement from your vet and is certainly NOT accurate nor applicable for all breeders, in all situations. Please read up on NeoPar and the vaccination protocal for it. Also NeoVac DP2 protocols....

I don't perceive it that way at all.:confused:

She was trying to help you-educate you and anyone else who might read this and was explaining some more detailed information as to what you were told and why-what type of practice that is.

I saw it more as a reaching out to you in kindness.:)

Please be leery of over vaccinating and vaccinating too early, multi vaccine etc. <--your dog's health and life is dependent on these things :(
