| Just as an FYI.... The first seizure my dog had happened in a vet's office. Blood was drawn immediately as soon as the seizure ended. His labs were all normal. His neurological exams are normal, each and every time he has one. Normal bile acids too. Not saying your dog is having seizures, but I'm saying don't necessarily rule it out. Not sure what leads your vet to think the dog has a liver shunt if she thinks there were no seizures or neurological signs given the events and didn't get any blood results yet but I'll be watching your thread for updates. Best wishes.

| Brenda. Cali is on a low protein diet. The focal seziure (just a name for a different kind of seziure). Cali was not shaking during her seziure. Her muscles stiffened up, her jaw locked closed while her tongue was stuck hanging out of her mouth, and she was not responsive.

My furkids Donating Member | Thank you everybody for all your thoughts and prayers......I am so upset right now.....I had to work tonight and just got home about 30 mins ago. My husband was home with him and said he was running around playing with Lillie and his toys...He put him in his crate to go to sleep. When I came home I let him out. he usually bolts out of his crate and runs into the kitchen....he did not do that tonight. He came out of his crate and was kind of walking side ways....then his little legs started to buckle. i picked him up and just held him with tears in my eyes. I fed gave him some soft food and he ate it...he seemed to be ok after he ate a bit. He LOVES to snuggle inside my bath robe...so this is where I put him. He fell asleep on me...after about 15 mins I put him down and he seems fine...not my hyper little Bentley though. I put him back to bed....I am PRAYING they don't find out it's liver shunt....on the other hand...I hope they can find out what is going on with him and get my little man back....tomorrow isn't going to come quick enough to find out the results of his blood work...

| Brenda stay strong you have YT to support you as well. There is something wrong and you need to get to the bottom of this. You are not far from excellent care and I would not hesitate to utilize the doctors at Angel for answers.
