Zada isn't doing very well!!
 
I just put Spicy down last Thursday and now Zada, who has a collapsed trachea isn't doing well. Dr. Ortega in Ventura who put her on a medication that a chemist has to mix, isn't doing it's job now. She's having major breathing problems. Dr. Ortega did say in the event this liquid medication doesn't work for her, they would perscribe the inhaler with mask. I called my local Vet. to see if she couldn't perscribe the inhaler, and she hasn't called me back and that was 5 hours ago. I told the girl how serious Zada's condition is and she needs medical attention ASAP. Well, about an hour ago I called the VMSG to see if Dr. Ortega could hurrry and call in a perscription, but their computers were down and the girl ask me to leave a message after she connects me, which I did. Still nothing and Zada is getting worse. I'm afraid I will have to rush her down to the Vet. here in the Village.
Please, for those who pray, take a minute to pray for my Zada.

Sending prayers.... try calling the vet again... but stay on the line to talk... don't agree to leave a msg or to be put on hold....

Prayers for Zada...hope they get something called in for her soon. CT is such a terrible condition. Hard on the pups and hard on us.

Prayers going up for precious Zada.....Do you have an emergency clinic close to you? I think I may be on my way just any time now....if she gets into SERIOUS breathing problems, you could loose her before you can get to help...they can help her at the emergency clinic.....

I never got a return call from either Vet. so I took her into town to another Vet. who is highly recommended and they admitted her. She's in the hospital to have a procedure done to help stabilize her, then they are giving me a prescription for the inhaler, but have to go on line to order the mask at AeroKat* | Trudell Medical International* Thank you for your continued prayers. I will keep you updated on her progress.

I am so sorry to hear about Zada. My Gracie had collapse trachea, and it is so scary and heartbreaking. I hope the inhaler helps her and that she recovers soon. You both are in my thoughts and prayers.

The Vet. just called and said Zada is worse and the treatments aren't working. They will do what they can and I will go get her later. She doesn't think Zada will recover this time. I'm about ready to lose it right now. I called my husband to come home. I'm so sorry to bring such bad news.

I am so sorry. I've been watching and hoping to hear good news. I had a similar tragedy losing two dogs within a week of each other - one to cancer and the other to arthritis. You don't think you can cope but somehow you find the strength to get through it. I wish I could take away some of your pain for you.

I am sooooo sorry to hear this terrible news......my heart breaks for you.....while it does nothing for YOUR breaking heart, Zada and Spicy will soon be together again, both running and playing like they did in the past.....breathing deep, running fast, and waiting to see you again!
