Hi I just read your thread... I am so sorry Zada is having a difficult time. I am sending my prayers for Zada and for you. Take care! |

Sending our prayers to Zada |
Hope Zada is doing well today and will do even better after Sunday! Hang in there and be a strength for her. Cali & Mia are saying puppy prayers for your baby girl. There have been lots of prayers for Zada...God is listening... When you pray, I will listen. If you lookfor me wholeheartedly, you will find me. ~ Jeremiah 29:12, NLT |
I got one of their camping hammock type beds I made (keeps them off of hot concrete or dirt and gravel) and brought it into the house to let Jilli Ann get use to it, and Zada got so excited when she saw it that she nearly closed her airway and my husband picked her up and took her off to another room. The Vet. said she would prescribe tranquilizers to give her for when we set off traveling, camping and such, so I can see she will definitely need them. Poor girl thought we were going camping today, and she's still not entirely convinced we aren't. I'm just glad she had her steroid tablet this morning and her inhaler after her excitement. |

I have no idea. I haven't heard or read anywhere that a dog can stay on them. I will be taking her back if she needs to be seen. Today was her last pill. She hasn't wheezed at all today so far, but I'm sure by tomorrow she will start up again. She's still on her antibiotic for secondary infection. I'm now wondering if she really did have an infection that caused her so much of a problem breathing. I've learned one thing out of all this.........If a Vet. can't get to the root of a problem the first time, then I'll go on down to Dr. Bruecker in Ventura. They don't mess around with guessing games and prescribing medication before they know what the real problem is. They are wonderful!! This last Vet. I took her to is also very good, but they don't specialize in any one thing, but that doesn't mean they aren't great Vets. I say "they" because there are two young Vets. One owns the clinic. Both are young women who truly care for animals and you can sure tell that right away. I'll stick with them for everything unless it's something they can't handle then I'll go to Ventura. I know what you mean about the vets too....many doctors are that way. They give a med or a lab test, it doesn't work so they try another. In the meantime, the patient may be getting worse. There was one doctor that I worked with who was trained at Johns Hopkins in Baltimore. She would hit the patients hard when they came in the door with all the tests needed from the get-go. She called it the "shot gun" approach. That way she could diagnose more quickly and start the needed treatment. I loved her and wish there were more like her. I'm sure insurance companies hated it but oh well....it's what is best for the patient! Oh, and GEAUX ZADA!!! Glad she's feeling better and prayers that it continues... |
