| Coughing and reversing sneezing, should I be worried? Hey everyone, It's now 8:30pm and my Yorkie Lucy has been what I think is reverse sneezing and coughing since about 5pm. I'm not sure if I should be worried or not, I read somewhere that if they're doing that it means something collapsed inside and that worries me :| Any ideas of what's wrong? It's starting to scare me :( She ate normally today too and other then the sneezing and coughing she's acting fine :\

| Is there a pause in between the coughing and sneezing? I mean if she's been doing this for 3 hours straight, I'd be heading off to a vet asap.

| Yes there has been pauses in between, like now she is not doing it but it does start up again after around 10 to 20 mins.

| If that's the case, then I would be at the vet. She could have anything from a collapsed trachea to allergies, to choking... Coughing is something I don't take lightly with this breed. Gizmo had one coughing fit that last about 10 minutes and we were at the er vet.

| She could be choking..my pup was doing that and my vet said Collapsing trachea...and reverse sneeze..he said the coughin could be brought on by allergies...I'd take the pup to the vet to make sure..

| It could be asthma, collapsed trachea or something stuck in her throat. I'd take her in ASAP to get a proper diagnosis. Also ask that they do an x-ray to see if it's CT. My Zada suffered months before I finally took her to a specialist. I hope your baby doesn't have CT. Keep us posted.
