Hugs to Miss Ellie Bellie! And to you! I knew you'd pull her through this, and she is such a little fighter. I feel like she will continue to make wonderful progress in her healing; she's a yorkie - it's classic for a yorkie to pull off little miracles and be unpredictable.

What great news to start off the new year with. You and Ellie have been in our thoughts every single day, and will continue to be.

Crystal, I am so sorry Miss Ellie has been through all this. It's wonderful to hear that she's feeling better for now and hopefully for a long time to come. I pray this good stage continues.

Yeah, her back is just so messed up. Not much to do for her except try to prevent it from happening again. For the most part, she is okay to nap with her grumpy drugs, so that's good. Now to try and stop her from jumping..for life. lol
Thanks Crystal! I almost sometimes think it's easier for us because, as weird as this sounds, we only have half a spine to worry about now. We have just gotten through a year with no flare-ups (yay!!), although who knows what has gone on in the paralyzed area. And of course, we don't need to worry about jumping anymore (although she still tries!)

Our biggest issue is toys because we have not found any way to make her stop shaking them! It's really hard on her neck, so we just take the toy away and stop playing when she does it. And now that she has a brother and sister, she's barking, nipping, chasing, and even though she's fragile I know I can't totally protect her because she is a dog after all, and she will act like a dog. We just have to do our best to limit whatever we can for her own good!

Very happy to read that Ellie is doing so well! I have been thinking of her and you, Crystal, every day, praying for her to continued improvement. Glad to hear crate rest is over, but I can imagine you do still have your hands full trying to keep her from bouncing around. You done good!

(Wish I were one of her doctors because I bet they are receiving a constant supply of home-made cookies ;)).
