Please keep us updated on George. He is such an adorable little guy, I fell in love with him when I met him. God Bless you and George :hands: |
I am praying for George that his surgery goes well today! I'll be looking for your updates. |
They have not called me yet to say he is going in... |
They just called and George is out of surgery and doing very well. Everything went without a hitch. They have him in oxygen to be on the safe side, but he has shown no signs of any respiratory issues at all. The student apologized for not calling before the surgery...I think it was probably best this way. Thank you so much all of you for your well wishes and prayers for my precious, George! It meant a lot to me. :) |
Linda, I'm just reading this about your little man. :( Sending lots and lots of prayers that the surgery goes smoothly. He'll be back in your arms and giving you wet kisses before you know it. Hugs to you both, Bonny |
Praise God! I'm so glad George made it through okay! :) |
So glad to hear George is out of surgery and everything went well. I think its nicer to get an early "out of surgery" call then to get a slightly late "going in" call. Hopefully Georgie Boy will be able to go home soon and both your stress levels will go down. It is tough for an older, blind and deaf dog to be in hospital. They just have no idea what is going on, though they are in the best care. |

Yes, it is very upsetting to know that they can have something like this and us not know about it. George has not had symptoms of CT....I have had three CT pups in the past and know the symptoms well. This totally shocked me. I did do some reading late last night and many sites do say that sometimes there are no symptoms until something sets it off such as anesthesia or infection. I cannot believe I had not noticed that before as I have read quite a bit about CT. I had asked the surgeon yesterday and she said that it is often the temperament of the pup....if they are laid back and not excitable they may not show symptoms. After all of this is over I am going to discuss this with my vet to see where we should go with this...I am guessing just monitor and treat the symptoms should they occur. |
Thank you everyone! :) Yes, this is a wonderful Birthday gift. I had been eyeing a new Louis bag; but I would rather have George well than that any day. Of course I would like both, but not in the cards right now. :D:p:) |

Linda, I've been following this and I'm so relieved to hear that George did so well. I know how scary it is to have a young healthy pup having a routine surgery, I can't imagine how you were feeling. What a great birthday present! Karen |
