| Old Carlo's Exam and Blood work The big old guy is still going. His platelet count is about 1/2 normal range, but this is 8 days after his Chemo Pill, but after each pill every 6 weeks, it is several thousand lower than before, but it always bounces back to the normal range before his next one. He is also starting to get a bit of arthritis in his real area, so it now takes him longer to sit and lay down, but he gets by. With the steroid he gets daily, we need to be careful with whet he gets. He also seems to be coming down with old age , and I am not sure if it is like dementia or alzheimers, but the vet said his brain is most likely shrinking. Example...walked him before he got in the car for the ride to the vet. He pooped. We get to the Vet, I walked him again for 5 minutes. As soon as we got into the Office, he went...He never did this before. Sad when they get old and lose it. Next week he sees his oncologist for an X-Ray, Ultrasound and Blood work. After those results come in, we can hopefully come up with a plan for his problems. He is not suffering, and we just got back from a nice walk. He still enjoys life, and loves his Yorkie family. |

| Poor Carlo. He's been through a lot, but he's got the best yorkie brothers and sister in the world to keep him feeling younger.

| Sending hugs to the old guy...he sure is a strong one. It's always so hard to see them age, at least you have comfort in knowing he is not in pain. Enjoy every moment you both are blessed with.

| Happy to hear Old Carlo is still getting around and doing fairly good. I had several dogs that lived to be seniors 14-15 years old and understand what you are dealing with. He has a wonderful mom and dad and Yorkie siblings to love him and take care of him, your family is very blessed.

| oh steve, so glad to hear the old guy is still continuing to amaze! his super strong will to live is still there because he knows how much he is loved and adored by you, marge, and the yorkie gang! i think about him often, he is truly, truly amazing and such a wonderful success story! sorry to hear about the arthritis, it really is hard on us to see them age and slow down. growing up, my family had lots of doggies live to old ages and they are just their absolute sweetest in those senior years. i am seeing it in my sweet little zowi now too. our last visit to the dog park only lasted 15 minutes because zowi just sat with her water dish, drinking and drinking so we decided to leave. she is not suffering at all either and like carlo, i doubt she even knows she is sick. we never tell her she's getting a p.i.l.l. she just has "treat time" 5 times every day and gets told how she is such a good girl right after. know that every moment you have together is precious and that you and marge have done and continue to do everything possible (and then some) for dear carlo, and most importantly, carlo knows it too!!! give him a cane corso sized hug from all of us!!!

| Happy to hear that Carlo is doing well....he certainly has been through alot. Aging is just one of those things we all have to deal with. Hopefully you and your vet can come up with a plan for keeping him healthy, happy and painfree for the rest of his life. Carlo is lucky...he has a wonderful family and is very much loved. Hugs to you all.

| Oh Carlo...yes, getting old does have it's not so finer moments, doesn't it? The saying, "Poop happens" just came to mind...
