The only thing I can say is to make sure that you do a LOT of reading here on YT before you decide to get another yorkie. This puppy should never have been sold at the age she was. You also need to think about how you will pay for emergencies in the future if you do get another one. I wish I had seen this sooner...I would have suggested you surrender her to a rescue so that she could have been properly vetted. Poor little pupster. :( |
So sorry to hear about Bella. I hope you will take comfort in the fact that you loved her and did all you possibly could to make her short life better and comfortable. I will say a prayer for Bella and you. Romeo & mom |
So sorry. |
I'm so sorry. This is very sad and breaks my heart:( |
I'm so sorry to hear that Bella has passed away:cry: You did your very best, and this is the fault of the breeder that sold her much too young:( Sending you big hugs!!! |
I'm so sorry for your loss. Your breeder should never have allowed her to leave home at such a young age and so small. Heartbreak was just around the corner and she allowed it to happen. I'm sorry ~ this is so sad. I do suggest you build up an emergency fund before purchasing another puppy of any breed; illness can come on at any time and can be very expensive. RIP Bella. |

i m so so sorry u lost your precious little girl, my thoughts are with you , r.i.p little bella  |
I wish you had humanely euthanized her or turned her over to someone who could afford to have treated her. It certainly isn't your fault she was sick or was sold to you too young but you failed her when you took her home in light of the vet's opinion that her condition had a "grave outlook" without hospitalization. I am sure you loved your dog - but love isn't enough. You need to be able to step up to the plate in these situations or be selfless and put the dog to sleep. I'm sure I'll be blasted for my honesty here but I can't say you did your best when your best was about YOU and not HER. In spite of this opinion, and knowing that you did love her, I am sorry for your loss. |
I am so sorry you lost your Bella. Please as Barney suggested do a lot of reading here first prior to purchasing another puppy. If you go to www.ytca.org, that they recommend pups do NOT leave the breeder prior to 12wks old And weighing two pounds. With any puppy, but especially toy breeds, the first few months of life, can as you have seen, present challenges to the owner, medical emergencies, training dilemmas etc. I do encourage you to set up an emergency fund prior to purchasing any puppy, and also consider pet insurance. We can not know if you had hospitalized her she would have survived. I am assuming you didn't have a necropsy done, in order to determine the cause of death. For sure your breeder needs to be aware of what happened here. Once again my condolences. |
I'm so sorry for your loss. It's heartbreaking to lose a pup, they become part of the family instantly. I also agree with what the others are saying. Even though it's a wrenching thought to leave your baby at the hospital, and not to have her sleeping by you that night, the outcomes of not doing what's medically best can be even more tragic. I pray that you find comfort in knowing that caring for such a young pup is very hard on a new dog owner, hence the reason it is recommended for pups to go home after 12 weeks. The best advice I can give is to please stay apart of our community. That way, you can be even more prepared when you decide to add another fur baby to your family. Our resources can even extend to finding you a good breeder that has pups that are healthy and socially adjusted enough to make a wonderful addition to your family. My prayers are with you and your family. |
You know it's so damn hard not to be judgemental when you read this stuff. I truly wish people would start educating hemselves on the breed the do's and don't the age to separate from the mommy etc. 7 weeks old to take from that mommy yorkie is gross NEGLIGENCE on the breeders part. To eccept a pet is taking one into your family no matter the cost. That life in your hands counted on you to do everything in your power to help. There are so many options for vet care money and really that was not a lot of money. If Yorkie talk want to bann me for having feelings for this poor baby that is fine. I had to speak up on be half of this pup and others. |
I am so sorry for your loss! I know your heart must be broken. ((hugs)) |
