I could of gone all day without hearing that the baby just suffered on its own and died! ALONE? |
This is truly heartbreaking, maybe you should seriously think about not getting another dog. |

She should have been taken to the vet AS SOON AS IT HAPPENED, not taken for a walk (seriously????). I cannot even begin to express how I feel about this situation... I am pretty sure it would get me banned. All I have to say to this is: Don't get another dog if you aren't aware enough to realize that being HIT BY A CAR means a trip to the vet IMMEDIATELY. :thumbdown RIP Elizabeth |

I totally agree Furbaby Friend. I just don't know what to say about this except that I am flabbergasted. Poor baby did NOT die from post traumatic stress. She dies from extreme internal injuries and apparently bled to death. |

I agree. This is just too upsetting. Rest in Peace, sweet pup. |
Please don't get another dog. You have demonstrated you don't know how to properly care for one right now. The fact that you did not gently lift your baby into a firm dog bed or basket to stabilize it and go for immediate neuro/orth exam, x-rays and pain medication plus some other statements made speaks volumes about your abilities right now to take adequate responsibility for a pet. Take time, learn all you can and spend some time in the Sick and Injured Forum. You will learn so much from those posts. |
Omg, I cannot believe what I just read from the OP, That poor little baby must have suffered :( Elizabeth should have been taken to a vet immediately! Rest in peace sweet baby girl, I'm sorry you had to suffer :( |
:( poor dog. |
Yes, poor dog. I missed in the orig. post that she was walked and not taken to the vet immediately until Furbaby Friend pointed that out and when I reread that post carefully, it just made me sicker than I was. Serious internal injuries and you are being forced to go for a walk, etc., instead of critical care. Poor, poor baby. Thanks, FF, for being pointed about it! |
This is tragic that the dog was not taken to the ER immediately after impacting the car, She was not taken to a doctor for another couple days despite showing symptoms that something was terribly wrong, She was taken to an incompetent clinic and later vet. I find it incredible that neither the clinic nor the vet would have suspected massive internal injuries....or put off reading xrays for an entire day, Worst of all, Elizabeth was made to suffer longer and die alone. Nanny, I strongly recommend you do not bring another pup into your life when you cannot make time or call on a friend or family member to get your pet help when it needs it most. :( RIP Elizabeth Victoria |

I mean I've seen threads where owners are neglectful of medical care for their pups, but nothing as OBVIOUS as this. I mean how can you WATCH your tiny dog impact a car and NOT rush it to the vet???? Seriously, I don't know what is wrong with people.:mad::mad::thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown This person should NEVER own another dog in my opinion. If you don't have enough common sense to realize when a vehicle that weighs a ton (literally) HITS your pup that is five months and weighs what MAYBE 6lbs could cause SEVERE trauma and requires and immediate vet visit... yeah going to stop typing again. |

This is just sick!:( RIP poor baby! And she\'s already posting looking for another pup?!?! |
Different things could have been done for sure but having just lost a husband myself, I couldn\'t imagine losing my furbaby too. Probably enough has been said. No? |
