I am glad to hear she should be home with you in a few more days. I just feel so very sorry for Pixie that she has to go through all of this because of the stupidity of that person. I just can't seem to get over that! I am glad she was honest and is taking care of the bills, but Pixie is still going to have to go through a lot afterward.:(

Praying for a quick recovery!

I remember when my little guy "Guapo" ran out the door while my brother was watching him and he ran across the street to greet a stranger walking by and an SUV hit him, they didn't even stop! I carried him in my lap to the emergency clinic, while he was panting so badly it was the worst. :/ He passed away, but I'm so glad your girl is okay!! Keep us posted on her progress!!

Look who's home a day early!!!!

She got discharged this morning, both doctors at the hospital felt she was doing well enough. Her vitals are all stable and they re-did the ultrasound and there is still no new bleeding. I live like 5 minutes from my vet so if there is an emergency I am close.

I have set up a pen for her in the living room and one in our bedroom, I do not want to leave her downstairs alone at night.

She is still seeming out of it, but that could be the pain meds. I have never seen her this quiet before.

Thanks again everyone, I feel better that she is at home. She will be more comfortable here I think.

So glad little Pixie is home! We have been remembering her in our prayers and are so thankful she and her mommy are still with us after that terrible accident.

I am glad to hear Pixie is at home. How frightening the whole ordeal must have been for her and for you. It is probably the pain meds but she may be tired from not sleeping at home and the stress of the situation. I wish her a speedy recovery. It sound like she is all ready on her way, brave little baby girl.

So glad she is home and continuing to mend. It is going to take some time to get over this horrible ordeal, but at least now she is on the road to recovery.

That is so wonderful that she got to come home this morning! :) I'm sure she feels more comfortable and secure there with you with her. Sending more prayers for a quick recovery, and a gentle get well hug.

:yay_jump::love::love::love::love::love:I'm so glad Pixie is home again. We've all been praying for her. She looks so pathetic sitting there with her little cast but thank God she's alive and well. As for the lady with the cell phone. I think she really learned a lesson, at least I hope so. But to give credit where credit is due, at least she stopped and took care of things, alot of people would have just driven away.
Anyway give Pixie a big hug and kiss from us.

Pixie just breaks my heart in that picture knowing what she has been through. But I look again and see a little fighter, a survivor, see she is home in her bed, probably as comfortable as the pain meds will allow, taking other appropriate meds to help her heal, loved completely, cared for by a wonderful vet and a caring, responsible, loving mommie and being prayed for and wished well by a long list of people. The picture is looking up for Pixie. I'm so glad she is home.

I'm so happy she is home with mommie. I think it's understandable that she is so quiet. Besides the pain meds, she has been through a traumatic ordeal and I imagine she is still disoriented and uncomfortable. Give her lots of kisses from all of us. She's precious, but looks so pitiful.

I am just reading what happened to Pixie and it rips at my heart. Your poor baby! And you! I am just glad to hear that she is home and recovering. I hope she recovers quickly too.

The silver linings in all this is Pixie wasn't killed and the person who hit her sounds like a truly caring and decent person who wants to do the right thing. I am betting she has learned a lesson concerning cell phone use and driving.

We had a really good night last night. She slept thru from 9 until 5 with only one breif time awake.

She is still very quiet, but she did eat a little for me this morning!!!

Oh, good! She's trying to eat so mommie won't worry about her so much. I hope her appetite picks up. I'm glad she slept well. She'll do better at home.:)

I just read this thread, and I'm so sorry that you are going through this, but thrilled to finally read that she is home and doing so much better. What a nightmare. You will remain in my prayers.
