Prayer for Chloe Please
 
Chloe is peeing blood really bad, just started- we are on the way out the door now to the vet- please send her a quick prayer. Thanks.

We are praying for Chloe. I know from where you come. I have just been there. It is a hard road, but I am experiencing the magic of prayer. Hang in there. I pray you will experience the amazing results that I have myself seen.

So we are back from the vet- we were there for over an hour and we are more confused than ever! The vet took a sterile urine sample and it was perfectly yellow- no sign of blood, no sign of infection, no bacteria, nothing. He did an ultrasound and a vaginal exam and everything looks perfect. She had peed three times this morning before we left and all were pink colored. Yet, as soon as we get to the vet she is perfectly healthy ????

Vet sent us home because he had done everything he could and to him she seems perfectly fine, he said to keep an eye on her and call if it changes colors again.

Did he r/o stump pyometra? This sounds SOOOOO weird.
So no stones seen? Did he do an xray too?

What is stump pymometra? Can a spayed female get it?

He did not see stones- no xray.

I am so confused as well- I keep waiting for her to pee again....

It's a very rare form of pyometra that happens in spayed females if the spay wasn't done just right. But I think he would have seen it on U/S. It's hard to find info about it though.

Yeah, if you can somehow catch a free catch urine, that would probably be good. If it's yellow in her bladder but pink when it comes out, then somewhere in between is probably the problem...

How strange! Well, Im glad he didnt find something wrong, but that will just leave you to worry! However, we were all praying for her...maybe thats the explination! :)

I wonder if she could have passed a kidney or bladder stone? Wouldn't that of caused some blood in the urine?

Thanks for the well wishes everyone. I am going out of town tonight, so I am taking her with me. We will be staying in the city so we will be near the big specialty hospital that I take her to for any specialized care anyway- so if the red urine continues, I will take her right in there- it is a 24 hour hospital. I feel like she gets the absolute best care there anyway.

Oh my goodness! Sounds very scary! I will continue praying that it was a "fluke" thing and that she is better now....

I am not convinced that she is well- she seems to be more lethargic today then normal.

I am still keeping a close eye on her- she is eating, well hydrated, not vomiting, bowel movements are fine, etc. If anything changes I will take her to the ER vet tonight, otherwise I might just take her into the specialty vet in the AM to be safe- I feel kind of like those people who pretend their kids are sick when they aren't since he said everything is fine, but I am just still worried for some reason.

I think concerned is okay! This just doesn't sound normal. And if she pees pink again and the regular vet can't figure it out, the specialty hospital isn't a bad idea.

Next time I am taking the used wee wee pad in with me! They are REALLY going to think I am a nut case- but I feel like I need proof, so they can see what I am seeing.

I hope Chloe is better. Nobody knows your baby as well as you do. If you feel worried, go to the vet in the morning. It's worth it just for peace of mind. Sending prayers and hugs to you both.
