Im so happy cassie will be getting her medical care, thank you so much for all you do. she is such a sweet little girl, how sad her ears had to get to a condition without care :( thoughts and prayers are with you all....i wish her the best recovery and a very long life full of love.

Cassie is probably going to be moved to PA soon. There are 2 foster homes rescue is checking out, one is a lady who has a little boy who just went thru this so she is experienced with what Cassie will need post op. I have talked to this lady and she is an extremely nice lady, she wanted to take a break from fostering because of what she is going thru withher little boy, but she is the one who was going to take Cassie for her surgerya nd follow up appts then bring her back to me. If she does not want to do it then there is another lady who is home all the time and is exceptionally soft hearted and kind so I think Cassie will be ok with either of them. I also told rescue if neither of them wanted the responsibility of the amount of care Cassie is going to need I would take her back . I also told her if we were going to move Cassie, I want to do it soon, I want her to bond with whoever is going to be with her thru her recovery, she is going to be in so much pain that I want her to know and feel safe with whoever she is with.

We have another little boy they have asked me to take, he is 5 months old and is a Chorkie, a child stepped on him and broke his leg at the joint. The owners did not have the money to even have him casted so for a week he dragged his broken leg around and then they finally called rescue, He had his surgery yesterday. His name is Boo Boo.....they figured with my experience with legs from Pixie, this would be a good place for him.

So I guess we will find out tonight if either of these ladies wants to take Cassie on, if so then Boo will be coming here and Cassie will be going there. If not then Cassie will be staying here until surgery and coming back afterwards.

I hope things work out for you. I will try to follow her story as well as little Boo Boo's recovery, if you get him and care to share him with us.:)

Thanks for the update. I hope Cassie can get moved and maybe a cancelation will come through. We had 6 week old pug (1 of a litter of 7)mix turned over to the shelter today becasue someone stepped on his leg and they couldn't afford the treatment. So sad.
