I would mention this to your breeder, if you haven't already.....she may reimburse you for your vet costs. The reason your posts are being held is because you're new....something within the program, nothing you've written. |
My prayers go out to you and your little guy :heart to so happy to hear he is feeling better..Your a very good mommy , you did the right thing :aimeeyork |
Sending get well prayers to Doodle and hugs to you both. Hope he's back home with you soon! |
I am so relieved to hear he's doing better. Have been so worried for him since reading this last night. Again, I commend you for taking him to the vet promptly (all 3 times) and not waiting until it was too late. Wishing you smooth sailing from here on out! |
So glad to hear your little doodle bug is on the mend. Don't feel like a bad mommy though, everything with these little one's is different and everyone learns through trial and error. Here's to hoping he comes home tomorrow safe and sound and as good as new. |
update #2 on doodle Ok so we just got home from visiting doodle and oh my gosh he is a totally different baby!!!! The girls at that vets office/animal hospital are absolutly amazing!!! We both got off at around midnight tonight and we spoke to the same girl that helped him lastnight and she was like sure come on in and visit your baby!!! As soon as he seen us he was wiggling from head to tail and giving us those lil puppy kisses all over our face with his lil snake tongue and boy we missed that even tho im not a big fan of puppy kisses period but those were VERY MUCH WELCOMED!!!!!!! They said it was the coccidia and the meds and just a combination of everything that made his bs run so low for his poor little body to maintain even with our help... They dont think there is any underlying problems with him they just think it was the combination of everything it was just too much for him... He is on the liquid form of albon and they are sending us home with also (which the first vet gave us pills and it was a pistol trying to get him to take them and we didnt understand why he didnt give us liquid in the first place) So they are keeping him overnight tonight to moniter him and his bs and he is expected to make a full recovery!!! And come home tomorrow!!! It really did our hearts good to see him back to himself and it was all thanks to the prayers from all the people he doesnt even know =) Thank you all again so much from the bottom of our hearts for all your thoughts and prayers <3 Im sure this will not be the last time you all hear from doodle and myself lol I took pictures but i just have to figure out how to post them all on here so you all can see how much better he looks today... We have decided now to take all our furbabies there from now on!!! |
I'm glad that your baby is doing so much better. Can you please ask the Vet if they sell the Nutrical so you buy some and have that on hand for him. |
Am thrilled to read this post. I can't help loving little Doodle's fighting spirit - and his momma's fight to get him good care. Still praying. :) :) :) |
YEAH!!!!Doodle's feeling better!!!!Hope he continues to make a great recovery!:D Please post the pics when you can! |
Thank you so much!!! Ya cent help it yanno they are like my kids lol and i will exhaust every option to make sure they are happy and healthy!!! I will ask about the Nutrical but when we were there lastnight i asked about it and the tech said she hasnt seen the Nutrical there at that office but has seen it at other vet offices that she worked at... But i will ask the vet today... Is that something that you can only get from the vets office or can i get it elsewhere?? |
I'm so happy to hear your good news!!!! |

Oh wow thank you so much i had no idea about that!!! My mom said that she wondered if holding and handling him too much would make him sore or have any effect on him.... And it turns out it does!! Thank you so much!!! |
I'm so happy to hear the great news. I can just picture Doddle wiggling and kissing you..... what a happy thought. Since you are a diabetic yourself, you know how important it is to manage his blood sugar. Lots of small protein packed/balanced meals are important. Nutrical is sold at most pet stores, but use it properly when needed. Over use can actually trigger hypoglycemia. Good luck, can't wait to see more pictures of your cutie. |
