Well...Dr. called this morning saying TJ was doing well. They are taking him off the IV and pain drip, and continuing with Antib's and oral pain meds. He feels I should pick him up today because TJ isn't eating for them. They said he ate a little on Sat but that pretty much it! I have butterflies in my tummy :( |
I hope TJ's homecoming went well. Give him hugs from us. I hope he has a great recovery! |
Oh my gosh, Nicole! I'm just seeing this. I'm so glad that TJ is ok! Miss Roxie must be missin' her brother like crazy. I'm sure everyone will be happier once he is home... We're sending lots of loves and puppy kisses to the whole family! |
Ahhhh! Welcome home TJ! Nicole...you will do great with him, giving him TLC. He will be so much happier to be home where he is in familiar surroundings and loved! *HUG* |
I'm sure he will be much more comfortable at home and will be happier eating your home-cooked meals ;) Hopefully he will recover quickly. |
I know you have your hands full right now. I hope your sweet boy is doing better at home and eating some. |

Nicloe, you are welcome! I am so glad that TJ is doing well enough to go home! I know you thought it would another day before he would be home. Hope all is well and calm now. I am sure he is so happy to be back home with his mommy and sis. :) Hugs! |
How is little TJ feeling this morning? Is he eating now that he's home? Bonny |
He was happy to come home for sure. BUT he still won't eat at home either, it's been a struggle bc I won't put the chicken in his food anymore...So he is only eating a tiny bit :( He is extremely uncomfortable. He cries and wimpers all the time. He constantly feels the urge to pee, which in his small area that he is confined too, he is peeing (or trying to pee) on everything all the time. His pee still has blood in it. I feel so bad for him :( Last night I slept on the floor with him and every 15 mins or so, he was up and peeing and trying to pee on the pads, his bed, my make shift bed, the blankets, the towel under his water bowl...This went on all night. And he would cry and wimper. All in all I got about 1 hour of sleep, and am at work right now barely thinking straight... I am hoping each day gets better :( :( :( |

I hope TJ is feeling better. Does he have a pain patch? When Sammy had surgery he came home wearing a Fentanol (I don't know how to spell it) patch. He wore it for 2 or 3 days then we went back and they removed it. Sending prayers for TJ. Feel better sweetie!!! |
Nicole and TJ I just saw this and I am so sorry that TJ and you have to be going through this. I am sending prayers that TJ's discomfort eases and that he feels better soon so that Nicole's anxiety can ease as well. I am sure there might be some swelling from the area where they had to enlarge his urethra so that may be causing him the discomfort and the urge to pee. Like with an urinary tract infection you have the urge but there is nothing really coming out. Best wished to your whole family. ACVS - Urethral Obstruction In Male Dogs |
My prayers are with you all and TJ... |
