Please help me! My dog has watery poop! What is the first to do? I can't take him to the vet immediately, it's late night here... :cry8:

OMG I suspect that it is due to poisoning because mom said that when she bathe her, she licked the soap!

if you suspect that they ingested any toxic substance and they are showing signs of illness I wouldn't wait until morning. Small dogs fall fast!

So true, small dogs do fall fast and better to be safe than sorry. I would doubt that one lick of the soap would poison her but who knows what it could be.

Little dogs dehydrate quickly so hopefully you can get her into the Vet.

Please let us know how he is doing :)

when I was at the vet yesterday I heard him tell another dog owner they could give pepto (pink stuff) --- he said 1/2 teaspoon for about a 15 lb dog.. so maybe 1/4 teaspoon??

Its morning now so he needs to see a vet. I dont think a little bit of soap would give him diahrea

It's too late, when I woke up, she's lying down and breathing heavy and slowly, when I call her she didn't response, it was 12 noon when she gave up.....

It was so sad....I feel like crying again....:(:cry:

Did you not take her to the vet between the time you woke up and 12 noon? :confused: She should have been rushed there immediately.

Please tell us you took her to the vet and tried to save her. I know it is hard, but you posted for help and help does not do anygood if you don't follow.

I am so so so very sorry for your loss and don't want to make it harder.. but this just breaks my heart too.

I'm sorry for loss...but I think I would have been on my way to the vet day or NIGHT instead of online asking for help. Sorry again for your loss RIP little man :(

No when she woke up the next morning on the 1/26/2011 he had died in the middle of night...cause it was late night there :confused:

I personally would have been rushing to the emergency vet during the night.

However, even if you couldn't make it to one that night, I'm positive a vet's office would have been open before 12 noon... Why didn't you take the little one FIRST THING in the morning? :(

Her post was at 7:30am and she's in Chicago, IL. I've never heard of that being late night. ???? :confused:

My computer post timer says 8:32AM (which would be 7:32AM central time). Most vets are open by 8 or 8:30. It wasn't late night.

Okay so it wasn't late night... and even if it was like I said I would have been at an emergency clinic. It was early morning and the vet's office should have been open in a few more hours at that point... WHY was the pup allowed to pass away at 12 NOON??? :confused: :(

The OP's first option should have been the emergency clinic, but their second option should have been waiting in the vet's parking lot for them to open FIRST THING in the morning. :(:(:(

This sounds like a hoax. Who would be that worried about their pup and then not take them to the vet. This doesn't really check out.

It makes me sad that someone might be lying about this... but I almost would rather that be the case... because the other option, with the way the situation looks now, would be a poor baby dying from neglect of medical care. :(

I seen that too.:confused:

Why do so many post for help online instead of getting there babies to the Vet..IMO that is just wasted time that your baby isn't getting the Vet care that they need.:(

And this is 2 dog in less than a month that she has lost...that just died in her home with no vet care...how sad.:(

2 dogs in a month? I this not animal cruelty? I did notice her post...it was morning time and she should have been at the vet. If you are reading this then SHAME ON YOU!!!!

This is so horrible. I can't imagine why someone would post something like this if it's not true and if it is then I would be ashamed to admit it. I took my cat to the vet during a bad ice storm and I am deathly afraid of driving on ice or snow. I didn't even think of it my main goal was to get help and I did. Now my baby Lexi is still with me and I got over the fear of driving in bad weather. So far my emergencies with my dogs have been in good weather but one day it might happen and I will not think twice. My vet gave me an address of an emergeny animal hospital and thank God it's very close to wear I live. No matter what time of the day or night I'll be there.

I don't get it, where are you? My comp displays your post time at 2:30 pm, you claim that you weren't in Chicago at the time, which would have been 7:30 am in that region....so where were you that it was late at night? Tokyo?

This is so sad, but I am sad for the dogs not you OP.
I am sorry if that sounds harsh but I cant understand how 2 dogs in the space of a month have been allowed to die in your home, under your care without medical assistance. At that time in the morning a vet should be open, if not I would have been waiting in the car park for the doors to open and would have been on the phone to an emergency vet all night/morning. Most vets phone lines will transfer you to an emergency line for out of hours calls, there really is no excuse to let a dog die like this.
Although YT is a great place to come for help with questions we cannot give you this kind of help, you really should have taken the pup straight to a vet.
How did the other dog die? and exactly how many dogs do you have? why are you refusing them proper medical care? I really wish you would come back to this thread and give us some answers.
