Lexi's surgery tomorrow Our little one has surgery tomorrow for her hernia and they are going to clean her teeth at the same time. My hubby and I are so nervous...it is so hard to watch your little one playing and so happy this evening, knowing tomorrow will be so different. It has to be done as it has gotten bigger and my vet doesn't want to take any chances. I wish I could go through it for her as it is breaking our heart to know what is in store. Please keep her in your prayers this evening as we know how much all our YT friends help when we need it, I truly appreciate it and know how much it helps. I have read some posts on hernia's and I know she will be fine just wish we didn't have to use anethesia...it scares me so. Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers we really do appreciate it...hugs Cheryl & Lexi |
Prayers for a successful surgery and a quick recovery for Lexi :) Try not to worry too much, although i can totally understand how hard it will be! Good luck getting through the waiting;) |

Cheryl, I'm sending my thoughts and prayers for Lexi. I understand how scarey it is, but you've done everything the right way and, therefore, minimized the chances for anything to go wrong. She's a special little girl and she will be home and healing before you know it. |

Sending good thoughts and prayers to you and Lexi. |
Thanks everyone your prayers mean so much to Lexi & I ....we truly appreciate you thinking of us...I will keep you posted can't wait to bring her home tomorrow and just hold her :D |
Your little girl will be fine, and will be back to running and playing in no time at all. The Hernia does need to be repaired, and getting her teeth cleaned is the way to go! Relax! |

I am trying to relax...not so easy...but I think the "WINE" is helping :D |
Sending good thoughts for a successful surgery and speedy recovery for Lexi. Looking forward to your update tomorrow. |
Your little sweetie will be just fine she'll be running around in no time. Please let us know how she is doing. :) |
Sweet little Lexi is in my thoughts and prayers today. Sending positive thoughts a hug to you, Cheryl. I will be checking back this evening to see how she is doing. I totally understand how you feel and how happy you will be to call for an update at your vet and later pick her up from their office. |
I will definitely add my prayers for Lexi's surgery tomorrow and a speedy recovery thereafter! My son is also having surgery today (Tuesday -- I am an insomniac again!). He is getting two repairs done to his shoulder -- college football injury. So I will be praying for a lot of surgeon's skill and the good Lord's healing touch for both my son and little Lexi! I know it is scary for our little ones to go into surgery -- but as long as you have a good experienced vet, she should have no problems. She will be better than new! When you take her home the day of surgery, do not be frightened to hear her cry. After Ben's neutering, it broke my heart to hear him cry like a human baby! It was the first time I had heard that. I called the vet back 3 times! Just wanted to make sure. By the morning of day 3, he was all back to normal. Hope Lexi has a smooth recovery too! |
You and your sweet little Lexi are in my heart and prayers. I know I will be thinking about the two of you all day, and I will be very relieved when you post that she is home back in your arms. I know she's going to be fine, but it doesn't stop me from wishing she didn't have to go through this. Lexi will be healed very soon, and she will probably be even more loved than ever before, if that is even possible. Her teeth are going to shine, and that's also going to be great for her health. My love to you, and please give Lexi some extra kisses this morning from me. |
We are getting ready to leave ourselves and wanted to let you know I was thinking of you and Lexi this morning. :) hugs and prayers |

Lexi is home and doing good I can tell she is a little sore but that is understandable...It breaks my hubby and my heart to see her little brown eyes look at us to do something as she just doesn't understand. I called the vet and he wanted me to give her a pain med tonight and not wait until tomorrow. Hugs to you Cheryl & Lexi I think the pain med is helping as she is laying down and she couldn't before |

I honestly can't thank everyone enough for all your thoughts and prayers for our little Lexi. We are blessed to have Lexi in our life and she is loved so very much. We were a mess this morning to say the least and I didn't think I would make it. Longest morning of our life...:D The vet called at 11:00 am to tell us Lexi was doing fine and coming around. He said we could pick her up at 4:00pm and we were there a few minutes early (well quite a few minutes early) :D I was so happy to see that little face and those beautiful brown eyes. She was wide a wake and her tail was just a waggin..I know she was happy we were there to bring her home. All went well with the surgery got all our instructions and asked a million questions poor vet. Her teeth cleaning went well but he did have to pull one tooth poor baby she is so young wish she didn't have to lose a tooth but he said it was loose..she had a lot of plaque so we will have to work on that to keep them clean. Had to call the vet tonight as Lexi was very uncomfortable and running away from her own self and crying I could tell her incision was hurting as she couldn't even lie down. He had me start her pain meds. and now she is sleeping nicely...poor baby. Anyways sorry for going on and on...Thanks so much again to everyone for all your thoughts and prayers I know they helped Lexi and I today get through this and I honestly and touched and couldn't be more thankful to all of you. Hugs Cheryl & Lexi |

Wishing both Lexi and Dustin a speedy recovery! Cheryl, I just knew you would be early to pick her up! I know how worried you were -- they are our babies too! Please give that sweet baby girl an extra kiss from me & my pups! I bet she will feel a lot better tomorrow but maybe not completely herself. But come Thursday -- she will probably be feeling great and you will be having to keep her from jumping off the furniture! Take care and get some rest! |
